From Tina Cervasio to John Kruk, these doofuses are more concerned with their makeup than knowing about what they are being PAID to speak about.

I would honestly play large quantities of money to have the ability to watch the game with 0 announcers and some kind of interactive (and in-depth) live statistics feed on my TV that could explain to me every nuance about the situation. If I could have the ability to change camera angles at will, this would be....awesome. This may happen in like....50 years.

    Agreed.

That would be great. I've really been burnt out of ESPN for a while. I barely ever catch a mili-second of sportscenter. Just because their are a ton better, more informative means getting the information on stories and players through the internet.

Speaking of announcers and the coverage of baseball and such... Has anyone seen that "one nation one station" commercial or whatever it's call that NESN is running during games? Where they have these random "fans" talking about how much they love (player name)?

I swear to god every time I see that commercial, I'd love to see the guy who says "Add Wakefield to that rotation and they're unstahhhpable." under the wheels of a truck.

I hate that damn commercial. They are trying to present the "average Joe's" impression of the 2006 Red Sox but clearly those people are just actors, and bad ones. I hate that jerk who calls Loretta "Loretter" and the line "Manny Being Manny" should never appear in print or on television. I'm so sick of that stupid phrase.

Calm down people, just a commercial. Have some fun with it, and if you don't like it, don't let it turn you into a homicidal maniac.

anybody else see that ridiculous shift against Ortiz? That was the craziest thing I've ever seen.

I was watching with the sound off and it looked like their were 4 outfielders but I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Yup they had 4 OF's, with a 5th in short RF. He should've laid down the bunt. The closest guy was the SS playing on the right side of 2B. There were really only 2 infielders, as the 2B was playing in short rightfield.

I don't understand why he doesn't do that every single time. That would get them to at least cut down on putting the shift on.

Honestly, if he hit the bunt just right and got it past 3B, he could almost go for 2. The LF was backed right up against the wall, while the SS was pretty far to the right of the 2B bag. I think the pitcher would be the closest one to make a play.

If Wily Mo didn't have such a big body, just looking at his face you wouldn't take him for 24 IMO. He looks like he's 20/21 at most.

Yeah, I remember he pulled that trick a couple times last year but not very consistently.

Pretty good at bat by Gonzalez but nothing to show for it. We have to start leaving so many guys on, especially when Clement is pitching.

Haha, 4 OF's and Papi bangs one off the wall for a double. I love it.

He could bunt or keep doing what he just did

                              Nice hit by Manny

                              Nice lil breakdown by Remy.

Yup, seems like he's coming around. He had 2 hits and barely missed the HR yesterday, now gets a good RBI double. I'm just waiting for him to hit one of those moonshot HR's.
