Lefties killed Lester tonight like they have all season. This is a high scoring game though 7-5 Yanks in the 4th Red Sox are coming to bat right now.

Nice scouting by the Yankees to get Wily Mo out. He always chases low and away.

A scoreless inning from Tavarez, in a meaningful game, with the game tied.... Vs. the Yankees?

Saying that I am stunned would be a huge understatement.

Torre's bullpen management has reached a new low today. Just awful. Hopefully it comes back to hurt the Yankees this series.

I think she looks fine every night. She's no hottie but is pleasent enough, and genuine (I hate fake smiles). She doesn't add much to the broadcast (I can't think of anyone in her position who does), but at least she doesn't come across as a jerk when doing interviews.

These games take FOREVER. If it was a regular game it would have ended 20 minutes ago, but it was a slugfest tonight and it'll end around 12:30-1:00. The Red Sox and Yankees always find a way to make these games last forever. At then end of the series I want to see a stat of how many hours they spent playing.

It's nice to see all the money that their raising for the Jimmy Fund though. And Im glad Torre changed the pitcher a couple innings ago because I wouldn't have been able to handle Donald Trump as the guest for an inning.

Hansen needs a double play rigth now

I understand Lester in the majors even though he isn't ready. He's had some high ups and low downs.

But has Hansen shown anything what-so-ever that warrants keeping him in the majors as long as he's been here? Aside from a fleeting flash of something good a game or two ago, he's really done nothing that I can remember.

                Send him back down.

Yea I beleive we should send him back down too. We could bring up Van Buren and make Hansen the closer in AAA and see how he still does as a closer. And hopefully he can be ready for next year and possibly take the closing role then.

                    Timlin you piece of ****.

But hey, the offense only scored 10 runs!

How can we expect them to win with that kind of run production?

Nice job having someone warming up in the bullpen Francona. This is terrible, can we dress Tavarez up in someones uniform and put him back in the game?

And there has to be someone that is capable of managing this team because I personally don't think Francona can get the job done anymore.

Or trade him this offseason while his value is still high...

Can't blame that one on Francona. He had Hansen for one inning with a 3 run lead and he pulled Hansen real quick. Timlin just stunk. A 3-2 count on Jeter and he throws the ball middle-away, someone remind him Jeter is leading the league or among the leaders in opposite field hits please. Dumb pitch selection, worse execution.

This Sox team no longer matches up well with the Yankees. The starting pitching isn't around the strike zone enough and that Yankees lineup makes pitchers throw strikes. Lester couldn't get ahead tonight, he got pounded, Beckett will likely have a similar fate. Schilling is the only guy with a chance, and maybe Wells, but Wells no longer has good stuff to go with his command and they'll probably tee-off on him as well. In my mind, the season is over, but it has been that way for about two weeks now.

                                A-Rod is my idol Longhorn.

btw...when he scored on Jeter's base clearing double last night, he literally stood at home plate and stared down the Sox dugout for a good 3 seconds. Considering he did nothing all game, it was probably the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen. That said... I would hate him if he didn't help us out constantly.
