Re: Home of the Philadelphia Phillies
I was reading where the Phillies said they could negotiate for Lidge and Burrell. They need to keep them to make a run to the playoffs.New Orleans HornetsSeries tied at 3, Game #7 on MondayWin or Go Home

So uh...I guess we should be happy at the moment, huh? lol
The Negadelphian in me is not surprised to see that when we try to repeat for the division, the Marlins decide to do their "every five years" system of winning yet another World SeriesComment

Re: Home of the Philadelphia Phillies
Lidge is 14-14 on saves so far and his ERA is below 1. Dude's on a tear. Tony Paige on the overnight on WFAN said it doesn't matter 'til the postseason. LOL New Yorkers.
I always thought that if this club got off to a good start going as far back as the Bowa days as manager, this team would've been tough to overcome. This year proves it.
Hopefully, we don't get any major injuries. If not, back-to-back division titles.
P.S. Chase Utley is America's Hero.Comment

They've lost 3 series in a row (2 out of 3 against the Fish, Cards, and Sox). They gotta take 2 out of 3 from the Angels, especially at home.Comment

Re: Home of the Philadelphia Phillies
Another tough loss last night. Brett Myers pitched relatively well, but Charlie left him in the game for an inning too long. When they have the bullpen they do, I don't know why you'd leave Brett in there for the 8th, but that's Charlie for you. Pedro Feliz continues to seemingly lead the league in hitting into DP's. Hopefully the day off for Utley will allow him to clear his head.
I'm hopeful, but it's not likely, that Charlie will shake up the lineup today. Given his great OBP, they should bat Worth leadoff, and move Rollins to the #2 or #6 spot. Rollins just hasn't gotten into a grove this year, I think the ankle is still on his mind. Howard continues to lead the league having the best #'s for a guy who's doing nothing this year.Comment
