Early in gm 4 vs. the Brew, but Burrell shows up big today.... Utley is showing signs of waking up again. Even Myers with a hit and RS in the early innings here!

C'mon boys! Mets are gettin' schvetty balls again!

just because i cheer them on it just means id rather face the mets than the brewers because after johan nothing scares me. Would you want to face C.C. and Sheets?

And Werth is one of my favorite players and i mentioned that i was a Dodgers fan so their is the reasoning behind everything. lol sorry for the confusion

Ya, but as I was made aware, if both the Phils and Mets made the playoffs, they wouldn't face each other in the first round regardless. Unless some post-season rule change was made?

Correct, if the Brewers make the playoffs, it's basically impossible for the Dodgers to play them in the first round. The team with the most wins gets the wild card winner, unless they're in the same division. Since the Cubs are running away with the best record, they could not play the Brewers in the 1st round, and in turn would get the division winner with the worst record, which in this case would be the Dodgers. If the Mets and Phillies take both spots, the Cubs would get the wild card winner and the Dodgers would get the NL East champ. Basically, the only way the Dodgers would get the Brewers would be if they finished with a better record than the NL East champ. Also, because of the W-L records, the Dodgers are also almost guaranteed to start the playoffs on the road, unless they go undefeated from here on out which.....could happen I guess...

Re: Home of the Philadelphia Phillies

im not saying that the Dodgers are starting at home or on the road, I was saying that if it came down to it I would rather see my team play the Mets not the Brewers. Thats all. I know if the Brewers/Astros win the WC we play the Cubs and if the Mets/Phillies win the WC the Dodgers play the NL East winner. Im saying that right now I would rather the Mets win the Wild Card so they would face LA rather than have the Dodgers go to Chicago. Honestly i would rather have my playoffs begin in Philadelphia/New York over Chicago, thats what I meant.

Looks like we've got a keeper in Happ. He pitched like Kendrick was supposed to this season - pounding the strike zone, mixing up his speeds, working quickly and letting his defense get outs behind him. To see him pitch well tonight in the midst of a pennant race is very encouraging going forward.

It's a shame we don't play the Braves anymore. They were truly our bitches this season.

Yet to be seen. I'm sure it was nice for him to hit the mound with a 4 spot off the bat in a park that eats up long fly balls. He has much more to prove, but it's good to see the development of another lefty in the system.

...and I was waiting for you to play the "bitches" card at some point. I was taking the under! lol

How about the three games with them Mon-Wed next week? Too bad they're at home, the Braves have actually beaten the Phils there this year. Think we could petition MLB to move that series to Turner Field???

Yeah, I completely forgot about those games when I said that. Nice!

9-0 @ Turner Field this season. We own that place! And how nice is it to have a guy like Lidge closing games. Remember when we announced his acquisition and he came out for his first press conference on crutches? All the fans were like, "Ummmm...." But he's been absolutely stellar. 38/38 on saves, and we're 73-0 when leading after 8 innings. Crazy.
