I would love to see the messages going in and out of Ruben Amaro's Blackberry tonight.

Season is over. The window is closing. Where does this team go from here? Werth is gone. Brown steps in. Should the Phillies let go of Blanton and Ibanez to go after Lee? Lee has said he would prefer Philly over NY or TX. I still say it is a longshot. This team needs someone to replace Rollins because in the next few years he will decline a LOT.

Next year here is my lineup:

      Rollins SS
      Polanco 3B
      Utley 2B
      Howard 1B
      Fransisco RF
      Brown LF
      Victorino CF
      Ruiz C

      And the (realistic) Pitching staff:

      Halladay
      Oswalt
      Hamels
      Blanton
      Kendrick/Moyer/Worley/Some other Minor Leaguer

#5 Spot battled out in spring training.

I'm not even gonna lie, I heard from another discussion post on the Phillies website so I take no credit nor can I back it but someone said they should sign Coco Crisp to platoon with Brown. Love that idea. It's like having 2 Victorino's Seriously though, that'd be an awesome idea. A switch hitting good defensive player. Although the lineup alters drastically with him in. But if it gets late and we need a power bat and Coco is coming up, just slip Domonic in for a chance to launch one. The A's have a team-option on him for next year though so I am unsure as to whether he will be available. Moyer will be #5... IF he overcomes age, injury AND gets resigned. If not it's Kendrick. Rollins on the decline yes, but his contract is up after this 2011 so it may not matter. Window is quickly closing. Next year may be it. Okay, it's late. I'm tired. Goodnight.

I don't think a platoon with Brown is a good idea. He is young and needs at bats. If anything they need to find a replacement for Ibanez. Don't get me wrong, Ben Fransisco is quite good enough to be the starter, but I want someone with a little more pop to protect Howard. Also, I was listening to Rubne Amaro's press conference today, and he was asked if he plans on resigning Werth and responded with: "Well I think the next question is do we have the money and the answer is yes to both of those questions"

Idk. I see no chance they bring back Werth.

Now to the bullpen. Durbin is probably gone, Contreras might stay because he is literally best friends with Baez, who is under contract for another year. J.C. Romero will be gone. Chan Ho Park could make a return, and Bastardo will be the #1 lefty out of the Pen.

            Subractions so far:

Romero (They let him walk.. pun intended)
            Moyer
            Dobbs

We won't miss Romero. If he was 2008 Romero we would miss is a lot, but he is far from that now. We most likely won't miss Moyer, I think he is finished. Losing Dobbs actually improves the club.

Why did they let Lopes go? He seemed perfect for the type of team the Phils had...one of the better base coaches imo.

They didn't offer him what he wanted. The impact of losing him is going to be enormous

I CAN NOT WAIT for spring training.

I want to see how our four studs do at the mound.

I want to see Rollins, Utley, Howard and even Ibanez have big years (Like we know they can).

That and Ruiz continues to improve look out.

Rollins is in a contract year. You KNOW he will have a big year. I think Utley will have a big year also. Howard (as much as I love him), I think will have an average year. And Ibanez I think will be the weakest link in the entire lineup.

But you're right, can't wait! So excited. Me and PitoTheProphet will no doubt be going to quite a few games this summer together and watching countless others together

I pretty much agree with the 4 players we mentioned.(I love Howard too, being my favorite Phillie). But I ahave to be honest, I am a little worried about Utley.

I definitely will be going to some games this year. I always go 2-3 times, but I really want to get a 6 game package this year.

Good luck getting tickets. Most of them are either in the 3rd deck or standing room only
