Beltran did his best '06 ARod impersonation... putting up great numbers but not coming through in the clutch.

It's been that way ever since Game 7 last year.

Next year we will find out who the real professionals are and the ones who are there to get paid. Reyes has a great work ethic, I have a feeling those boos will pound his head all winter long and next year will be a break out year for him. The same with Wright. For the others, I have no idea.

Can't really question Wright.. just gotta work on some throws, but he's the real deal.. not his fault at all.. considering he finished with 30 HR's after not hitting a HR all of April.. Alou was pretty good too.. but agreed, can't really tell about the rest

Alou was there to play every day. He was such a great pick up. Floyd wouldn't have worked out for us. Great signing by management.

LoDuca, IMO, is done. Too many reports in the papers this year about him being unhappy and the organization looking for other options. Castro could've solidified a starting spot next year had that ball went over LF.

Castillo is great for this team and I hope he sticks around. Valentin won't be the same after the ACL reconstruction, at his age.

Green should be back as well... this guy just kept hitting all year. Really turned it on when we needed it. Even platooned at 1st base a lot during the end.

Reyes was benched in June for not running out balls...before Ricky even got there. I predict a monster season from Reyes next year.

I never said he was. Actually, number-wise he had a pretty good year.

But say he didn't K or not come through in the clutch is silly, especially if you've been watching all year.

I have the feeling that Wilpon will have Omar in his office this week and Wilpon will simply say that with the new stadium opening in 2009, you are on a bit of thin ice along with Willie. Omar will then have a repeat of his first offseason where his moves were very good and very shrewed.

Really need a personality like John Franco on the team. Franco made every player take home one of those 1998 Wild Card Winner shirts after they lost that one on the final day.

Omar Minaya needs to take the heat for this-1.

Heath Bell(Key to Padres Bullpen)
Lindstrom(Funny he help put you guys away this weekend)
Bannister(Might have been KC best pitcher this year)

What was he thinking when he extended Mota even after the guy flunked a Drug Test.

You guys needed another starter & he chose not to get-1 during the trade deadline, claiming PEDRO is just as good as any pick-up he could've made. You guys could've got Linebrink from SD & he didn't pull the trigger.

Peterson was horrible. Plain & Simple as a Pitching coach. IMO he's over-rated & not as gr-8 as people make him out to be. This guy should be shown the door ASAP. As well as Rickey Henderson. how this guy became a coach is beyond me.

Ever since Reyes signed that contract extension, his play & attitude went down the drain. It's like he said F-that I got mine. Why Willie didn't move him out of that Leadoff spot, especially since Castillo was playing better than him during your free-fall is beyond me & for those MET Fans that said REYES is BETTER than Derek Jeter, need to have their head examine. The truth is he's not even the BEST SS in his league.

The reality is you guys really didn't do anything to seperate yourselves from the competition during the OFF-SEASON & it came back to bite you guys in the butt

Bingo right here...great attitude to have. Ya, it sucks if it happens to your team, but in the end you have to love baseball. My team failed to make the postseason for the second year in a row, but I still loved following them and the rest of the pennant race. The Mets will be back and sometimes it takes something like this to make them hungry. Honestly, it was like baseball had anointed them the best before they won anything. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back.

You read my mind..No way you can compare Reyes to Jeter...Reyes doesnt come close to being the complete package like Jeter is..There is a reason why Jeter is the team captain..He is 100 times more professional than Reyes.

Dear Omar and Mets Management,

If ARod opts out, sign him. Then offer Reyes to the Twins for Santana. That's Reyes for Arod and Santana.
