Just finished watching it now... Absolutely wonderful... If Wright's shot would have gone out, Shea would have exploded... I've gotta say, I'm gonna miss the dump when it's gone.

Today's game, and the 6 prior to it.

We dealt with it all through the early 90's. Man, was that a frustrating time.

So I know how ya feel. Makes ya not want to watch/go... but you do it anyway.

damm - they said people had to park as far away as 4 miles from "The Dump".. but I too will miss Shea, as it does hold some special moments for me...

Well it appears the Phillies pen is even crappier than the Mets bullpen.

The Rollins chant was awesome. I of course say Wright and Howard are struggling, then Howard hits a bomb, and Wright just misses a GS.

Is Maine hurt? He was all over the place today, and I don't think he ever broke 90 mph?

bk...one hiccup and the mets bullpen is crap?

That bullpen is not good. Hands down the best lineup in the NL. Pitching staff shaky at best.

Wishful thinking on your part.
I guess we'll see as the season goes on....but already it's starting to sound a lot like last year...when everyone predicted the Mets would fold quicker than an overcaffienated origami artist for the second half....

Personally, I LOVE when fans of other teams predict gloom and doom for the Mets...so POUR IT ON!!!...:wink:

We used to do that back in the day. We'd park on some street in the neighborhood, then run up to the stadium, and then go sit in the nosebleed section... Fun times. I'm gonna make it a point to try and go to one of the last games there.

Who predicted doom and gloom. The lineup will win them games. Unfortunately when you get in to the postseason you have to have pitching. Mets were my pick to win the division, but Maine will have to be better than he was today. I am not sure if it was luck, skill, or poor hitting, but he probably should have given up a lot more runs than he did today.

The Mets staff is far from a sure thing, and I think universally it's pretty well known that the bullpen is shaky.

What did last year get them again? Oh yeah, nothing.

If I say so what? You don't see their bullpen, specifically their ability to get from the starter to Wagner as a question mark? You don't see question marks in their rotation? Every team has question marks, or are you saying the Mets are a team without a weakness?

I guess that would also make the LA Dodgers, LA Angels, SD Padres and SF Giants the teams to beat. Plus the Yankees.
