Great game. I watched the TBS feed of the game and while the focused a lot on the Red Sox they also found time to talk up the Jays especially the rotation. That collision with Wells and Johnny Mac sure was scary though.

It's always good to sweep the Sox and the Jays have done it in a variety of ways, not the least of which was their awesome pitching.

That and the play before, one hell of a grab and throw by the SS.

It was nice to hear about Frank Thomas' grand slam. Before the season, many onlookers were very worried that he would suck big time at least early in the season. So far so good, and they need that.

I was one of the worried ones, especially after the first few games against the Yankees when he looked like he was having problems with bat speed. Once he got out of the cold though he really came alive.

            If anyone cares...Shannon After 5 games 14 AB's 3 hits 1 run 1 RBI 214 avg
            Reed After 3 games 10 AB's 3 hits 1 2B 2 RBI 300 avg.

I miss Reed's hustle. This team needs a solid left fielder Shannon was fine 10 years ago and Stairs well..I hope this was just to tide us over till july when a major deal can be made and a big name thrown in Left.

                BJ COME BACK SOON!

Looks like Accardo is going through the sophomore jinx.

I guess i'm the only one keeping this thread alive. What a tough series against the A's 2 of the 3 games they should've won easily. Perhaps going on the road will help the team get their mojo back.

To make matters worse there's an interview out there where Ed Sprague admitted to using Andro and even playing in a game once with a corked bat!

C'mon people I feel like i'm talking to a wall here!

Who's managing this team? Buck Martinez? The Jays are I believe the #1 team in the Majors in stolen bases right now.

If BJ truly is healthy is it possible the Jays could pawn off Accardo and some prospects for an outfielder? Shannon Stewart needs to retire. Hmmm too bad the Jays released Reed Johnson!

C'mon let's not get hasty here. Stewart is a good 4th OF'er IMO. He isn't starter material anymore but it's not like his bat is crap. He can still get it done occasionally.

Anyways here's the stat of the day: This is the first sweep by the Jays in Texas since April of '85.

True, I guess I am still bitter about Stewart in Johnson out. However, if the Jays want to content in the AL East they are going to need another bat in that lineup somewhere, and the logical choice would be out in the outfield, but then again we'll have to see what Rolen can do when he gets healthy, I keep forgetting he is on the team.

Well that was a disappointing loss. BTW I've made a point to seek out the opposing team's broadcast rather then having to hear Jamie Campbell all year. I seriously think that Rogers should look at hiring an American broadcaster to do the games. In fact I'll be writing Star sports media columnist Chris Zelkovich about that.
