I would expect to see Ransom again. I can't imagine anyone would pick him up.

That's Cashman's call as to who gets called up/sent down. Not Girardi.

i know that but what i am trying to say is, girardi always has too much confidence in these players that show no promise what so ever. like mitre when are they gonna realize we really can't get it done with this guy? girardi loves to manage the team like its a little league team. doesn't wanna hurt anyones feelings, tell everyone they are playing good. give everyone a chance. give me a break.

Well, Cashman makes the final decision on Mitre as well. If Cashman says: "Hughes stays in the pen and Mitre is the 5th starter" then Girardi must oblige.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Cashman was on the fan just now.

-Said they weren't willing to take on Halladay's salary, so he was never really an option. And he wasn't willing to give up Jackson and Montero for Lee or Washburn.

-They'll skip Joba at times the rest of the way and they think he'll benefit from that. Sounds like they are committed to him starting all season.

-Hughes would take too long to stretch out, so there's no way they'll put him back in the rotation this year.

-Said NL teams actually still ask about Igawa, but his salary makes him too tough to trade.

Yankees acquired Chad Gaudin from the Padres for a PTBNL. For some reason I doubt he'll look like this in a Yankee uniform.

At least Sterling said it for the proper player this time. I laughed my *** off when he said "It's an A-BOMB from A-ROD" and Matsui hit the home run, lol!

Fantastic game last night, one of my top 10 Yankee games!
