Re: 09 Toronto Blue Jays Thread
Seeing 43K in the house was like the old days. I remember when the dome was 50,000 every single game (yes even weekday day games) and last night's game harkened back to those days.
I also loved the chants and mocking of the Yanks. Normally when the Yanks or BoSox are in town we get 50/50 for both teams but this was clearly a Jays crowd. I'm hoping like heck we can get at least 35k tonight but it'd be nice to see 40k again but i'm not holding my breath.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 09 Toronto Blue Jays Thread
I finally got to catch my first Jays game this year and watched Cecil win his first big league game, pretty impressive. How good is he capable of being? He has a good pitchers body and seemed to have a good arsenal of pitches, I know he's a 1st rounder but whats the word on him potential wise?
Otherwise its nice to have a bandwagon to be on again baseball wise, I really didn't see this strong start coming for Toronto, hope they keep it up.Comment

Re: 09 Toronto Blue Jays Thread
This Jays team just continues to surprise. Offense still going strong.
Any thoughts on how the rotation will shape up as guys get healthy? Right now we got Doc/Cecil/Richmond/Tallet/Ray. Cito and JP said they'll keep running the hot arms, so I'm assuming Tallet has pitched himself in a spot at least for the time being, and he deserves it. Ray seems to be the odd man out. Would Romero be slotted back in to give the rotation 3 lefties? What to do with Litsch, Janssen, etc?
This makes not re-signing AJ look that much better. The Jays have a crazy amount of depth. And that's not including McGowan and Marcum. Wow. There's gonna be some tough decisions moving ahead for next year.Last edited by CoRruPt-; 05-16-2009, 12:27 PM.Comment

Re: 09 Toronto Blue Jays Thread
Seven straight...This is getting ugly fast hopefully Romero can turn things around, but after his stint on the DL I'm not expecting much. Looks like our bats have finally cooled as expected.. I just wasn't expecting it to be this severe..Comment

Re: 09 Toronto Blue Jays Thread
Who would they have to call up, besides the starters like Ray and Cecil? Wolfe should not have been called up at all, I am waiting for Accardo to be ready.NHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks

I honestly don't know how Rios got that big contract a few years ago, this guy makes so many mistakes ie.base running blunder in Philadelphia tonight. Any team want to take his contract on?? I really hope someone takes this garbage.NHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks

Hopefully this will be the beginning of the end for JP. I want a real GM to run this team and I hope Paul Beeston hires someone with a track record instead of some guy with no experience at the top job.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
