I say if we can sweep Dbacks and some how sweep Rockies. Then we have a chance, but I still say they will choke when the pressure is on. They are really young!

        Who's really young? Schierholtz? Pablo?

Age wise, those are the only 2 everyday position players that is 25 and younger. I'd add Velez/Ishikawa to the list of young player as well.. but the rest of them..? Lot of experience out there.. Renteria, Rowand, Winn, Molina, Uribe.. got a lot of experience in the bullpen as well with Howry Affeldt Wilson

The Giants can't afford to lose anything. This homestand is setup with great matchups. Not to mention that our top 3 are going out against the Rockies as well. If the Giants can't execute as they failed to do so in Colorado the past 3 games, they don't deserve the playoffs anyway.

Disagree while those guys are in their 25's, that is still young. When you have never won before. They don't know what it takes. Rowland is OK, but he is not going to get it done. Winn, have some experiences. Molina has some too. But as a whole there is not that much of experience on this team with winning and what it takes to win.

How nice it'd be to sign Bonds at the minimum.. he'd still outhit everyone on the roster barnone. Not only that, but pitchers may actually have some sort of respect for the guy in the batters box.

If not, hire him as the hitting coach for next year since i believe lansford's contract will be done with.

Lansford needs to teach some patience at the plate. First pitch swinging at everything. It's funny to see our guys swinging at the first pitch after a four pitch walk.

If we make the playoffs I think it would do wonders for our experience and confidence. It will make the rest of the League know how close we are to contenders. I really don't expect to go far, but then again who here expected us to be talking about the playoffs at the beginning of the year?

Then who better to have as a hitting coach then the all time walks leader?

It's sad when we need to teach the hitting coach how to coach hitting.

He is dealing though. That 0-2 HR was his fault, the rest was the Eli's.

At least he is finding a way to pitch out of jams.

Wow, look at Renteria today. Hell, look at him this month.

He's coming around a little bit.
