Yeah, he was right no doubt about it. If there is a team in baseball that I don't care for, it's the Cardinals.

Regardless, I wouldn't blame Dusty for taking the Dodgers job if it were offered. Everyone wants to go home and work. I'd be 50/50 on losing him. If we finish this year strong, and our future looks bright, I don't see any reason why we couldn't get another competent Manager for our club.

    What happened w/ Lapue?

Regardless, can't wait for this series. Keep the road trip rolling redlegs.

LaRue was placed on the DL with concussion like systems which occured when Cueto kong fu'ed his head with his cleat. He is going to miss the rest of the year.

I think it would be a huge mistake to let Dusty go.
We havent made the playoffs in 15 years and we are going to let our manager go??
Kind of reminds me of the whole Jack McKeon thing, he went on to win the WS with the Marlins once we let him go.

I like Dusty a lot, I think it would be a mistake to let him go.

And I agree the Cardinals really need to stop bitching about everything. It's getting ridiculous.

Game isn't over as of the second but Volquez gets lit up and we lose Edmonds and Nix. Not good.

Volquez has been really inconsistant since his return.
He has either been really good or really, really bad like last night.
I would really like to split the next two games and go 6-3 on the trip.

Yes, he has. He throws way too many pitches and walks are just killing him. I'd suggest he get sent to the 'pen to get things straightened out but then who would take his spot? They are trying to limit Leake's innings so he really isn't an option and Harang has been getting lit up on his rehab assignment. They may have no choice but to keep throwing Volquez out there.

According to J. Fay the scoop is Harang to the bullpen as LR, Chapman to the pen. could bring Maloney up, he's 10-6 3.35 ERA. have a look @ Wladimir Balentien's stats

Balentien has always hit well in the minors, and he has always struggled to hit major league pitching.
Reds rotation if you take Volquez out.

Tough one last night 16-5, well atleast the Cards lost to the Pirates.
Still 2-1/2 games up, really need a win today.
Also Edmonds on the DL, and Jordan Smith was sent down.
LeClure was brought up, is he going to start now for Volquez??
Lets hope Homer continues to pitch good today and finish the trip a very good 6-3.

They almost blew it, if it wasnt for Janish in the 9th saving it, then the MVP winning it for us...
That bullpen has to do better or they wont go anywhere in playoffs if they get there.

Yes Mr Obvious, the bullpen cannot allow 6 runs in an inning.
The thing is our pen had been great this year, I am not worried about them.
I really thought they were going to lose that game once they blew the 10-1 lead.
They showed me alot by coming back to win. A big thank you goes out to theIR fat 3b for making an error that allowed us to tie the game.
Also one more thank you to the Cards for losing 2 in a row to the awful Pirates.

I'm not sure if Stubbs wouldn't have beaten that throw anyway from 3B. Then again, he wouldn't have been in scoring position. I'll take it. I thought we were done for when we blew that lead. They showed me a lot not giving in.

so word around Cincy is that Chapman has been spotted with Cordero and he was not listed in yesterday's boxscore, could he make an appearance this weekend? And Phillips X-rays came back negative and will be ready to roll this weekend. How bout them Cards?

Going to the game tonight. Hoping that Chapman makes an appearance, if the rumors are true. I listened to the extra innings of the Cards game with their announcers on MLB Gameday Audio. Maybe it's just me but the announcers sounded rather deflated the entire time. I guess I can understand that having a 3-game losing streak thanks to the Pirates and Nats.
