Great win for the Reds last night, I really thought they would lose once they lost the 2 big leads. Scott Rolen is the man! 2 more HRS!

Yo, y'all are a tough team..think we're going to be battling it out for the rest of the year. Y'all know when/if Chapman will be up?

Always liked Scott Rolen, loved him when he was with us, glad to see him healthy and doing a great job.

If we don't sure up the MR & the setup situation, Chapman might be up sooner than later. Burton seems to be almost back, Bailey comes back, Volquez gets back...we should be set. should be a dogfight to the end...

Let me say it again I LOVE WINNING!
Back in first place and headed home for 10 games, things are looking good.
Coco needs to gogo, sounds like a WHAM song dont it??
Scott Rolen once again Mr Clutch!
Mike Leake 5-0 with a 2.25 ERA, wow.
As for the Chapman question, he will not be brought up to join the pen.
Walt made a comment over the weekend that Chapman would not be messed with by pitching out of the pen. As for Volquez he will join the pen once he is ready to pitch. He will be used in relief for the rest of this season once he is ready.

Has anyone seen the Reds bats??
They have seemed to misplace them.
And I have to say it once again!
                  NICK MASSETT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There has to be a better 8th inning option then this clown! Massett and Lincoln need to be released now! Or at least cut Lincoln and send Masset down for a while.
On a side note there is a rumor here in Cincy that David Weathers may work out for the Reds next week. Not sure what I think about it, I was not a big Weathers fan when he pitched for the Reds.

                    Re: 2010 Cincinnati Reds

I am really starting to believe one of the local sports talk guys here in Cincy, Lance McCallister. He says people in Cincy and fans of Cincy sports would rather talk about our teams when they are bad. He says people in Cincy would rather gripe about our teams then praise them.
There was way more Reds talk on this forum last year then this year.
We are now in first place by ourselves on June 10th for the first time in 7 years, yet there is hardly any Reds talk?
Dont give me the whole "its too early to be excited", this is a different team.
We didnt have Rolen, Cabrera, or Gomes type players in the past.
We also didnt have a rookie pitcher who is 5-0 with a 2.25 era.
I am calling you guys out, its time to get excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
With that being said they may end up tanking it and finishing below .500 but for now lets get behing this team.

I really wouldn't doubt if that was true/semi true. You can get so down on a team over the years that it makes it hard to actually get the faith going when they actually have something good going.

For me personally, it's hard to get all that excited. My main reason is because like I mentioned a few pages back, I work a whole lot during the games so I rarely ever get to catch them anymore(and when I do it's always Nick Massett blowing up out there).

I still can't believe what has gotten into Rolen this year though, I would've guessed he might be close to 14 HR's at the end of the year, not in June.

As the season continues, the excitement will build (provided the Reds continue to play good ball). It's natural for fans of a team like the Reds, who haven't tasted success in some time, to be a bit cynical. I am. But they're making believers out of me, day by day.

And with the Flyers season coming to a dramatic end, the Reds are officially in season. I'm riding out this Flyers avatar for a few more days as respect for a great playoff run, then it's on to the big C of the Reds avatar and a complete focus on all things Cincinnati baseball (well, as much as a guy from outside of Philadelphia can). I just hope my avatar switch won't be a jinx.

Your shortstop, Janish, is impressing me like Barry Larkin did back in the day.

What did they put in his Wheaties this morning? He is eating up everything that should go into the outfield.

Janish has always been a stud at fielding. He'd play more often if he could hit major league pitching more consistently. He has done better with that this year though. I'm a fan of that kid.
