It sucks and it’s ugly to start like we have. I think we can turn it around and still end up meeting my projections, but this is a hill to climb off the bat. Chasing all season is not fun and this start has put a damper on things.

I’ll take our guys in a street fight though. LOL

The Reds are now 2-8 and have actually scored more runs then they have allowed.
No MLB team ever has started 2-8 and scored more runs then they have allowed.

That’s a positive sign for us bouncing back, but just +1 and we know one-run W-L record is unpredictable. Not completely applicable here but that thin line is tough to walk. And we just scored 14 of our 35 runs in one game. Lol

        I’ll take it though!

The offense has come alive in the past few games, also a good sign. Give our pitchers something to work with boys.

Team batting average rose from .160 to .199 in one game.
I really think they are going to get better but the schedule is not kind the next month.

21-1 runs scored/allowed in 3 game sweep of Miami.

Back at it today against STL. Felt good to get on track, but these are the games that matter against NL Central foes.

West coast struggles return. Three game sweep by the Dodgers. This team is too good to struggle for much longer, right?!?!?!

I know his team is no where near ready to compete for the division title, but man they are fun to watch!
Hopefully we can finish around .500 and build for next year.

I know I've griped about Reds managers enough on here over the years but Bell is the worst manager I have seen. Some of it might be him getting used to it but he has no sense. It's looking like he was hired for the name on the back of his jersey. I know it's not his fault the offense hasn't hit worth a damn but...

I totally disagree and I know it is the "in" thing to do in bashing him.
                        Hell Twitter kills him everyday.
I actually love the way he manages. Its a miracle with the way they have hit and how bad their closer has been that the have the record that they do.
They have played just above .500 since they horrible start they got off to.

Let me guess you hate his line ups and him giving off days so often to guys?
Those seem to be the things that unhappy Reds fans gripe about the most.
Let me ask you a question. Have you heard one position player gripe about getting days off? Didn't think so. He sets his line ups a week out so the guys know when they will be off.

Nope. Zero problems with his lineups for the most part. He has no game sense. The record in one run games is quite telling. He's managing the bullpen like every game is game 7. Lineup management would be near the bottom of my complaints.

Won a one run game last night.
And so you don't want him to manage to win?
Don't you manage to win every game?
Many of the one run losses have come because the bullpen has blown the game.
He aint out there pitching and he can only bring guys into pitch that the GM gives him.

Nice shutout W over the Brewers.

We’re almost +30 run differential, but 4 games under .500 and last in our division. There’s no team sitting any worse than 2nd with such a gap between runs scored and runs allowed. (Ok, we’ve allowed the least in the NL but 10th in runs scored).

Still, we’ve recovered decently from the ****ty start and are tracking towards that .500 line we all kind of pegged this team as being. Honestly, the whole NL is jammed up besides a couple teams so we’re right there with everyone. else

4-4 the last 8 against some really good teams, ill take it!
Puig needs to get hot so we can trade him for some prospects.
They are going to be a huge seller at the trade deadline.
I look for Puig, Dietrich, probably a couple pitchers to be dealt.
