I had a sneaky feeling that the Reds may try to get Harvey when he refused his minors assignment with the Mets.
We have had some good luck with fixing a few pitchers over the past several yrs, but we also had Price, as pitching coach when we were taking pitchers off the scrap heap, and fixing them, like Simon, and Strailey. So hopefully the same can happen with Harvey.
The thing with Harvey is, I think he may have a drinking problem, which would make me leary of having him on the team. Hopefully thats not the case, but after he was late last yr, to a game, and he was sent home, and he said it was do to a headache, when he had been golfing earlier that day, had me thinking then, that his headache was likley do to drinking to much on the golf course. I know alittle bit about partying early in the day, and when you quit drinking after starting early, you end up with a horrible hangover headache, which is why if you sart drinking early in the day, you need to keep drinking till bed time, lol.
I wish Mez good fortune, and hope he can stay healthy, its too bad injuries took its toll on him, because Mesoraco had a chance to be a very special talent, but injuries just took its toll. It was wise for the Reds to move him, due to all the injuries.
Hopefully it works out for both Harvey and Mesoraco, and they can go on to have nice careers.
