Boston is very good. But they won't stay at this pace. They may be peaking in the summer. NYY isn't go anywhere. It's gonna be a fight till the end.

Really good article on how Redsox greats Pedro Martinez and Big Papi helped get perhaps the games next great ace sorted out to what he is today.

I’m as anti redsux as the next Yankees fan but this is cool, heard about it briefly prior to the article but this gives more insight

WASHINGTON — It started quietly two winters ago. Then, slowly, word seeped out: Two Red Sox legends had decided to help a young Yankee.

Country means more to these guys than team.

I would bet if you asked Pedro to pick one team to represent for life, he would choose DR over the Red Sox.

I've also heard Ortiz mention the Yankees are the team in the DR, it was just on Reddit Pedro grew up a Yankees fan and tried to get the Expos to trade him to us.

That's interesting because my father's side of the family (Dominican) was big on the Red Sox because of guys like Pedro, Manny and Ortiz.

The New Yorkers loved the Yankees but there were many Red Sox fans because they loved the players.

Yankees call up Domingo Acevedo as they continue to find an internal fix for their pitching staff.

Decent start by Gray. He doesn't even have to be "Oakland Gray"

Just give the team a chance when you go out there. Hopefully second half Gray can pull a Tanaka and find his groove again.

Stop nitpicking so damn much and trust your stuff. Easier said then done obviously.

Gray working his issues out mid-season would be ideal. That'd make the need for another impact starter less dire.

They were talking on MLB Radio today about the fact that Tanaka, Gray, and German have started over half to the Yankee games this year and have a combined ERA of around 5.50...yet NY is right on Boston's heels. All they need is someone to step up and keep them in games down the stretch.

A reunion with Eovaldi is probably the best possible move at this point.

Gary ******* Sanchez better be running laps tomorrow. I can hear my little league coach screaming through an entire practice after that.

That play was just ridiculous and unacceptable. Didn’t even seem to really care with that jog towards the ball. He really needs to get himself straightened out defensively or he likely dosen’t have a future at the catcher position.

I've been defending Gary for a while. But he's losing my defense. I know the man is coming off a groin injury. But that weak *** jog to 1st to end the game just looked awful. No excuses. He runs all out it's a tie game. Been a tough season for Gary. But this one is on him.
