Bah, what a terrible stretch. Lost 4 games in the standings in the last week...

And to make things worse the Indians are HOT.

The Twins suck right now We lost 2 straight to the Tigers. I think we should trade Lohse or Mays not both and get a shortstop that can hit. We already have defense and now we NEED offense.

Holy crapper, I'm going to agree with you for the 2nd time in a little over a week. It's starting to get ugly around here. We've got just over 3 months to make up 10 games, YUCK!

The Twins have now lost their last four series and 8 out of their last 11 games. This team desperately needs some help. The rotation isn't looking as strong as it was just a couple weeks ago. Lohse had a stretch there for a few starts where he was presentable, but he's regressed back to his dirt status. Mays lasted only 4 innings in each of his last 2 starts and Radke has looked bad recently, losing some velocity due to a neck injury.

The Twins' biggest problem is their hitting, particularly on the left side of the infield. Terry Ryan absolutely has to get a bat to ignite this team. The rumor I've heard that sounds the most likely is the Red's third baseman Joe Randa. He's batting .293 this year with 11 HR and 39 RBI, fields his position well, and knows AL Central pitching. This trade would allow Cuddyer to move to 2nd where he plays better defensively and his bat is less of a liability. Castro's defense would keep him as the starting shortstop with Rivas backing up both middle infield positions. Then when Punto comes off the DL he could either bounce back and forth from SS and 2B, playing almost everyday or become the regular shortstop until he ends up back on the DL.

Who would we have to give up?? I don't want to give away our top minor players because of this team wide slump.

The Twins play the Tigers today in like 15 minutes. The bad thing is that it isn't on TV or at least not where I live. Maybe today is the day we turn are season around for the better. I think Torii Hunter is the key to winning again. If he can start hitting the ball well again I think the whole offense will pick up.

                  I think Silva starts today.

The Twins have my favorite outfield in baseball and even as a Red Sox fan they are one of my favorite teams. I have always loved Johan Santana and knew he'd be dominating a couple of years ago so I drafted him on my fantasy teams last year and I was definately rewarded. Radke is as consistent as it gets along with Mussina. Silva has been a pleasant suprise I think the last couple of years. Nathan is off the charts. Mauer and Morneu are among the future stars of baseball. I just love watching this team play. And to top it all of, the White Sox are my least-favortie non-Yankee team in baseball. So go Twins!

The Twins won yesterday!!! Today we play the Brewers.

I hope the Twins play Matt LeCroy at least once in the series. He has played well when he is given a shot. I say play him in tomorrows game #2. He probably won't play though because there is no DH.

We play Royals and Devil Rays in our next 2 series. If we don't win 5 of 6 then this will be big dissappointment.

Right now I think we have to try to fight through this slump because every team goes through one. I am not throwing in the towel by any means but the White Sox are deifinately for real and our best chance might be the wild card. Who knows though. We just need to be more consistent in every asset of the game.

Agreed all around bergie. The Sox are a much different team than the last few years, amazing what a little pitching and solid defense will do for you, sounds familiar doesn't it? We've seriously lacked consistency. We get a good pitched game but we don't score any runs, then hit the ball a ton and the pitching stinks it up.

btw, LOL @ the McCarver quote in your sig, he's one of my least favorite announcers for any sport (to go along with Joe Morgan, Bill Walton, and just about every NFL hack in the booth).

Heres a tough choice for the Twins. When Nick Punto recovers from his injury who do you send back down(right now he is playing in AAA to get ready for the pros)?

                                G. Williams has like a 13 game hitting steak and L-Rod is playing pretty good too.
