Sportsman.. I usually agree with most of the things you say... but what you said is just ludicrous (no disrespect of course).

Last year the Yanks started 8-11... Boss was furuious... released a statement saying essentially the same thing he just said today...and the Yanks turned it around. I don't get why everyone panics 10 games into the season... it's like how there was an uproar when the Mets started 0-5 and look at them now.

Plus if Torre was fired.... they would be a riot here in NY... hes a beloved figure... and the possibiliy of firing Torre has never as much as been mentioned by any media source here.

People need to give some time.... the Yanks had 2 series with the Red Sox and a powerul Orioles lineup. Torre always takes about 15-20 games to get his lineup set and everyone to start playing like themselves. So I think everyone should just chill.

Exactly. I think at least the last 2 seasons, maybe 3, there were points where people were saying how the Yankees sucked this year, were too old, weren't going to make the playoffs, etc. Does anyone honestly think Arod and Sheffield are going to struggle like this the whole year? Or Randy Johnson and Pavano aren't going to pitch well this year?

Yankees will be fine. If they play like this another 2 months, then Torre's job might be in trouble.

There's nothing to be worried about. It's a 162 game season. Every team goes through a period where they don't play well.

If the Yanks lose 20 of their 25 games, then it's time to be worried. But for right now, I'm not going to lose any sleep over their poor start.

Yankees really begin to pick up mid-May, early June.

Arod, no, he probably won't struggle all year. At least he shouldn't. I however, would not be surprised if the other players you mentioned do. With Sheffield and Johnson, age is a factor and it catches up to the best of them eventually. I don't think Johnson will have a sub 3.00 ERA at the end of the season nor do I think Sheffield will be as good as he was last year. And Pavano probably won't equal his output of a year ago either. If he finishes the season with a sub 4.00 ERA Yankees fans should be very pleased. I don't think he'll be a disaster like Vazquez simply because I like his makeup. He's a strong presence on the mound and he doesn't appear to get rattled easily.

                Thank you Rob Bell!

                HOLY ****!

Tino just hit a grand slam to make it 13-0 in the 2nd inning.

There's still only 1 out too.

Tino has 5 RBIs in the 2nd. Arod has 4 RBIs.

                  Finally ended the inning.

13-0 going into the top of the 3rd.

                    Arod is absolutely on fire.

                    3/3, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs

                    15-2

On a side note...Wright just hasn't looked good at all. I'm really starting to wonder if he was just another pitcher that only looked good because of Leo Mazzone. I know he had run support today but damn, 8 ERs? He will be 2-1 with a 10+ ERA.

I would have rathered a 4-2 win with Wright pitching well.

Why they chose him over bringing Lieber back, I will never know.

Which makes the timing of his "rant" not as steller as it could have been.
