I guess Johnson knew what he was talking about when he said his velocity would be higher as it got warmer. He was hitting 98 on the gun today and he looked like he had a lot more confidence in his fastball. Plus with a hard fastball to catch up to... his sliders become much more effective.

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread
Just got back from the game and it was awesome.
I still don't understand why they pulled RJ in the 8th for Gordon when he was doing just fine. Thankfully Mo was able to get out of the jam by striking Walker out.
We sat/stood out right in front of the retired numbers area and just happened to be a bunch of Bleacher Creatures that had traveled down from NY. They were funny as hell. I'll have pictures up shortly.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Nice to get the W tonight, even though it's the Pitt-rats.
Anyway, I'm far more excited for tomorrow to hear a majority of the plans revealed for the new stadium."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread
Odd seeing Matsui DHing...how many times has he DHed before?
Anyways, Yanks are hitting Redman early which is good and Brown is throwing pretty well so far.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread
Well Brown is gone now, after 82 pitches and 3 earned runs.
Groom just got Mackowiak to ground into a DP, so atleast there wasn't anymore damage in the 5th.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

****in' Sturtze, first batter gives up a HR.
Why not leave in Groom? He went 1.2 IP and only threw 12 pitches.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
