Lucky break that Sheffield was called safe.

                  About 15 feet

He attempted to knock over the catcher though but it didnt really work.

                    At least 10 feet.

Wasn't real close Eli. I did like his weak attempt at running Ross over though. My thought is, if you're gonna run him over, you better bring it.

Don't worry. The Pirates have used their best in the pen already (Gonzalez and Mesa) and the offense is pretty anemic. This game is for the taking by NYY.... Off to bed for me. Too sick to even enjoy the game anymore.

Phillips, Womack and Giambi....for the love of God, please bat Tino.

Dee, NYJ...you think Mo goes a 3rd inning if indeed it goes to the 11th inning? I personally don't want to see Quantrill or Gordon whatsoever in this game.

You know what... I wouldn't be surprised if he does go a 3rd. Torre has no trust in Quantrill anymore and Gordon hasnt been good. Plus Rivera has not pitched in a while but he has thrown 30 pitches and his limit is around 35 to 40.

I say he brings him out for a 3rd and brings in Gordon at the first sign of trouble. Torre knows this is a big game and we need to rack up the wins on this homestand.

But hopefully we won't have to worry about it because we need to win it NOW.

We just got lucky with that.

Forgot to add... if Torre doesn't bring Rivera back in... he'd probably say "well we can;t use him up now we need to save him for the rest of the year"

Unfortunately... right now IS the rest of the yea.r... and we need to start making up games now.

                                Good bunt by Womack.

Time for Giambi to make himself useful.
