My intent wasn't to make you feel like a douchebag (nice choice of words by the way), but I can't stop what must come natural to you.

I didn't know this thread was for the sole use and purpose of the Yankee fans and their associated Red Sox counterparts. I'll tread more lightly next time when I'm on "claimed" turf.

You should realize that after your these and the Lawton comments, you come across as a Yankee-hating Red Sox fan whose made it his life's purpose troll this thread. That may not be the case, but as I said, that's what you come across as.

So just a warning to VTek and Squint to keep things civil. VTek try to keep things civil as well since it's not strictly Yankee fans that frequent this thread.

I don't love Lawton. He's a solid pickup for what they gave up. I'd rather have him as my 4th outfielder than Kapler, which is basically what he'll be rotating with Bernie and the other guys....

BTW, what the hell is up w. Ramiro Mendoza?? I just read in the Yankee Organization Update on ESPN.com that he has been tearing up AAA lately. An ERA of .90 in his seven appearences.

But where has he been all year, on the DL for three months? I knew we picked him up in the off season but never heard anything else about him so I figured we just cut him. I can't imagine he was playing all year w. the struggles our pen has had, and not have been called up at least once.

I wouldn't trust him any more than Wayen Franklin or Sctt Proctor. The guy was a high ceiling prospect we had that never panned out. He didn'y have the stamina to be a starter but he doesn't have the velocity to be a reliever. He's a tweener.

I hope he gets called up on Sept 1 so we can see what he can do though. He may be a pleasant surprise.
