Re: Official New York Yankees Bleacher Creatures Team Thread
I give it 2 weeks before Cashman realzed Bellhorn is a slow version of Tony Womaxk... can't field... can't hit.. strikes out way too much.
Hopefully he can step up and contribute as a pinch hitter. We actaullly have a good bench with Ruben back.

Bellhorn
Bernie/Lawton
Womack

Bellhorn is VASTLY underated as a fielder. During his time with the Sox he had excellent defense, probably better and more range than Graffanino does.
The guy can't hit the side of a barn with a tennis racket, but overall I'd say he's an upgrade over Womack. How 'Bout 'Dem Boys From Beantown: 86-63Comment

Eh, all Womack is used for now is pinch running. With Cano holding down 2B and Lawton taking any potential OF time he would have seen his role is very limited now. Bellhorn is more of an upgrade over Felix Escalona, cause there is no way Bellhorn is gonna be playing OF."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

And Chacon has his first bad game with the Yankees.
Hopefully the bats can get hot like last night.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

I don't know if his range is any better than Graffanino's, but he is very good at turning the double play and is, at worst, an average fielder at second. The key part is at second though, at third he becomes a below average defender and should only play shortstop in an emergency situation.Comment

Old news my man.
What a mess last night was. First Moose can't do a thing on Monday night, now Chacon is a total mess last night. I dunno if it's the time change or jet lag or what but those were two of the ugliest back-to-back starts we've had in a while.
All of this of course makes me cringe with nervousness for the Unit's start tonight. I can see it now, that slider is gonna be flatter than a 10 year old girl allllll night."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Chacon has looked like Roger Clemens during his first 5 starts so he was bound to have a bad one eventually.
I'm expecting an offensive explosion against Hernandez tonight. The guy has been great but he hasn't faced a lineup like ours yet.
