I saw a couple of people on Reddit suggest turning off VSync in the game and switching it to On in Nividia Control Panel and it worked for them. It did not work for me. I also tried Bahnzo's idea of turning it off in Control Panel and it didn't work there either. I've seen people with similar PCs as mine having no issues and those with better ones having the same issues, so I think my system should be able to play the game.
I hope the developers are able to find a solution because the game is basically unplayable for me and I'm getting frustrating with trying to fix it. I think it's going on the shelf until they patch it or give some solutions that work. It kills me because I was so looking forward to this game, but that's really been ruined because I can't get it to be playable.

I really do have the same system as you, but I have 2x(16gb) the memory, and that might make a big difference.

I don't know what might be causing this then. Are you making sure to add the game as a custom profile and not just turning it off in the Global Settings?

I did a few other things, like turning on the Shader Cache, and setting Texture Filtering - Quality to "Performance". I don't know how much that might effect things, but maybe worth a try.

I would try turning on the Task Manager before you play and switch to the performance tab in there and see if you can see how much CPU and Memory is being used. If any of those are maxed out when the game is playing, then that's an issue.

No luck with those changes either. Only 27% of CPU and 84% of Memory were being used.

Yeah, that's too bad. Have you tried just lowering the resolution? I went down a few clicks before I fiddled with the nvdia profile and it also worked for me.

Other than that, I guess hope for a patch or it's time for a new card! Got my new one yesterday and played a couple games. It's like night and day now.

After spending a few hours with the full game,here are some fixes needed:

1- The bat sound sounds for anything that's not perfect contact are weird,especially the hollow foul hits.
2- The star point sound has got to go!
3- Your a.i. baserunners take too big a lead and can't get to back base (tag ups) constant double plays.
4- Pitchers who get rattled and tense etc. stay in WAAAY too long.

The first two are listed my Metalhead as being in their first patch release. The 3rd one is all over reddit so pretty sure something will tuned regarding that one as well.
The one I've noticed and it could be because I'm on a lower ego 45-50 but if I get caught in a rundown seems as though I can get back to my original base w/o even a throw by the cpu.

After debating buying it and pulling the trigger, I am glad I did. Not typically a game I would play as I usually play licensed games like The Show, Madden NBA 2K, etc.

But I am finding myself putting in a lot of time with this game. It is really a good game in my opinion.

I want to love this game but the pitching is frustrating. Wish it had a meter style pitching. MVP ‘05 did it best.

I don't know why I haven't ever put this to words sooner, but this current pitching system is probably my favorite pitching system I've used in any baseball game before. I just wish the strike zone was a little less wide and the batting AI was a little closer to SMB 2, but that doesn't have to do with the pitching for me.

I'm not saying you're in the wrong for your statement, and there are a lot of customization options they're missing that I wish they had as well (including keeping the BTP cam over the right shoulder only). Your post just reminded me of what I actually think about this system now that I've had three iterations to reflect upon it, especially the new wild pitching aspect.

Honestly dude, keep at it.

I was terrible at first and also frustrated.

Practice really does make perfect. Once I got regular pitching down I started to work on power pitching.

It's actually pretty satisfying. This is my first SMB game ever and I was a Show player from 08-19.

Breath of fresh air honestly.

I appreciate the encouragement and the game is definitely a breath of fresh air.

It’s not that I’m horrible at pitching, but pressing the button for a pitch and then trying to use the left thumb stick to aim the pitch seems nearly impossible to be consistent. I also prefer the pitch view from behind home plate. Just my opinions... to each their own.

I would recommend this game over Mlb the show 20. I feel that franchise has gotten too stale and buggy. Had a good run.

Start on a really low ego, it's easier to pitch then work your way up.

Would you elaborate on what makes this pitching the best around? I haven’t played The Show since 2016, so no idea how the pitching is in that game these days.

I Would like to try PYS but the language barrier. Maybe they’ll release a English version in the future.

It's only first version of SMB3 and Metalhead's additional updates will address several of the well-known issues.

My only gripes are the interface lag time between menus, changing player information, and sometimes saving. SMB2 was pretty fast. Not a fan of all the 1-year contracts in franchise mode.

It's also hard to see the ball being pitched while hitting at Big Sky Park and the Lafayette Corner during day games. At least to me it's hard to see.
