      Keith Gallon signed with Oklahoma.

Big 12 It Is For Gallon

Not sure where Stansbury will go, now. It'll be interesting to see who joins Shaunessy Smith in this class.

bah. durand scott chooses miami over uconn.

very disappointed since i felt that he was the perfect kind of player for calhoun's system. our '09 recruiting class is a HUGE HUGE disappointment, especially since we'll be losing a few players and we're opening a LOT of playing time, yet still can't convince them to go here.

The whole Scott thing seemed messy. Even though Kemba is here now, I think Curtis Kelly played a negative role in Scott's recruitment. On one hand Scott said having a close friend wasn't a big deal (with Kemba at UConn) but when it came to Miami and Grant he said it was a bonus. The inconsistencies let you know something else was going on.

Our roster won't be that bad next year assuming no one stupid jumps to the draft. Depth will be a bit of an issue though.

          - Kemba/Beverly
          - Dyson/Harralson
          - Sticks/Coombs (and maaaybe Miles)
          - Majok/Okhrai/Edwards
          - Okwandu/Mandeldove

Def would have be nice to add Scott and another SG but we'll see. Oh well, like I said above, Scott can enjoy his overseas career after his playing days at Miami are over.

It'll be interesting if JC goes after another guy or saves the scholie for next year.

Villanova gets a verbal from the 16th ranked player in the land, St. Anthony's (NJ) 2 guard Dominic Cheek. What a kick-*** class Jay Wright is bringing in.

Seems like Villanova gets every big time prospect from that school. Didn't Fisher and/or Stokes go there?

Fisher did. Not Stokes (St. Benedict's).

Illinois just got a verbal from a 2011 recruit...Tracy Abrams. PG from Mt. Carmel. Considered the best player in the 2011 state recruiting class.

Bruce and company is doing the job in recruiting for the Illini. Great to see after all of the abuse he took. Loving the program right now.

I guess I can put this here.

Jeff Withey is heading to Kansas. He originally went to Arizona, but wanted out after Olsen resigned. He'll be elgible to play in December, next year.

That'd be sick, I'd like to see St. John's get back to the level they were at up until the late 90's.

It would make sense actually. As awesome a player he is, he's really selfish when it comes to the limelight. At SJU, he'll be the focal point of the offense and still be playing against top flight competition in the BE.
