UofL looked at form today. Jumping on lowly Indiana State and never taking their foot off the throat. UofL has Ohio tomorrow and then Lamar on Monday.

I am curious to see if UofL comes out flat tomorrow after having an "easy" game today, especially since they don't have a practice in between for Pitino to really get their attention. You would think that dropping one to Western KY would capture your attention, but then again, I never thought that UofL would drop one to Western Kentucky.

      We'll see.

So far this gives ND an OCC of Indiana, North Carlina, Texas and now OSU. Hopefully this will help with a tough conference schedule, the Big East tourney, and when seeding time rolls around. Luke is supposed to be back, but still should be a tough nuetral site test. Hopefully KMac, Jackson and Ayers can maintain status quo, as I am sure Luke will not have "game legs" after being sick for two plus weeks.
Harangody looked good, but this game showed me what I was afraid of with this team. They went up against a great defense, and couldn't get it done. Granted, they played a very close game, I hate that they keep struggling against strong defense. K-Mac was pretty much no factor, and our free throw shooting is apalling! Less than 60% so far. Hopefully, they can bump that up to closer to 75% as the season progresses.

Ohio State has a great defense?

Much better than any other team that ND has played so far. Only giving up 50 ppg is pretty good IMO. Yeah, until ND, they hadn't played anyone worth mentioning, but they held the 84 ppg Irish to 62.

The Hoyas hit the century mark vs Savannah St and almost shoot 70% (69.8 to be exact). Good to get the youngins some PT before conference play kicks up.

Not great news for the Orange, it looks like Starting SG Eric Devondorf is going to be suspended for the rest of the year due to slapping a girl. Not shocking, he never did seem to be a person of great Character.

So Andy Rautins will move to the starting SG. and Mookie Jones and Chris Joseph will see more PT. I would not call his suspension devastating on offense, but Devo did play good defense. Personally I do not see this really hurting Syracuse, but Rautins and Joseph are gonna have to step up.

                  Damn, sucks for Cuse.

Looks like my preseason prediction of them finishing 4th in the conference just went out the window.

The only aspect of our game that this wont hurt is the Turnover category.

Devo averaged almost 4 TOs a game and that just wasn't cutting it.

But he will definitely be missed. He brings that fire and excitement that some teams lack. He's not afraid to speak his mind and spark the team.

His 14 PPG will also be missed, and that great ability to get to the basket and make a crazy shot when we need it. He's also the next best 3 pt shooter on the team and when he's hot, he can really light up the score board.

I really hope he doesn't get suspended for the year, but if so, they're gonna have a lot of adjusting to do on Boeheim and the team's part. We're probably gonna see Harris back at the SG position a little bit like he was last season.

He's recovering from ACL surgery, obviously he's not going to be himself the first month he's back on the court. He looked a bit discombobulated the few times I saw him play this year and you could tell he wasn't used to the speed of the game, I'm sure once all the rust was off he wouldn't be turning it over 6-8 times in a single game.

The Good news is that they still have a couple cupcakes to get used to life without Devo, we have Long Beach St, Cleveland St, and Canisius before we play Memphis.

I don't think this will hurt the Cuse at all. I have never been a fan of Devo's game.
