You forgot our horrendous 06-07 season when we didn't make the tournament, the year after we had five draft picks leave.

I think we'll have our best recruiting class in a while coming in though, Roscoe Smith just committed (Top 20 Rudy Gay type), Jeremy Lamb is a 4-star SG and two three-star big men.

UConn doesn't look entirely bad, I love their guards they are just getting used to not having the big bodies down low (Adrien and Thabeet) to clean the boards with their run-and-gun style of offense. They were darn near unstoppable in the first half it was ridiculous.

If Kemba Walker can play a little more under control and not think he needs to make the GREAT pass or the GREAT shot UConn has a Top 5 PG in the country, because he has that type of skill, just not the head yet. I absolutely love Jerome Dyson, who's a silent leader of this club. He's a Top 3 player in all of the Big East when he's on.

We have the most overrated back court in the country to be honest.

Dyson is putting up great numbers 19/5/5 but if you watch all of his games he is not that impressive unless it's in transition. He is horribly inefficient. Both him and Walker are shooting right around 40% and have horrible assist-to-turnover ratios. So to sum it up, our back court is athletic is they come but have poor shot selection, Iverson-esq FG percentages and don't care of the basketball. Not a good combination.

I cringed yesterday when Shulman said "Dyson is playing as good of basketball as anyone in the country."

I'm not impressed with Kemba Walker. He has absolutely no court vision and is still playing like he's in street ball. When have you seen him drive to the basket and passed the rock? I haven't seen him do that in a long, long time. I actually don't remember when he made a nice assist on the drive. He plays way too out of control and needs to learn how to control all that speed that he has. He's definitely not ready for the NBA. I'd say he should declare as a senior like Ty Lawson. If he really works at it, he can be the next Lawson IMO.

Dyson is usually a one-man army, but Robinson has really stepped up in the past few games. But yeah, I don't like Dyson's chances in the NBA. He drives with his head down, and he relies on getting to the line. In the NBA, he can't play like that especially because of his size. Not to mention, when he does get to the FT line, it seems like he is very inconsistent there. I expect Dyson to be a late second round draft selection, but he seems more and more like the type of player that would do very well overseas.

.........on the road anyway. We beat them twice last season but it was in Morgantown and then at the Garden in the Big East Tournament. I'll be glad when Harangody and his flopping is gone. That guy should forget the NBA and head straight to Hollywood with those acting skills and dramatic falls. Geeesh!! Anyway, nice comeback for the Mountaineers. Gotta wonder what's up with Ebanks and Huggins again. He hardly played in the 2nd half. I'm assuming it has to do with his lackluster rebounding and defense in the 1st half, coupled with the fact that he was settling for 22 foot jump shots rather than trying to run the offense early on. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out, especially considering how the season started for him missing the first 3 games.

                Ahh...I forgot about 06-07.

I don't know how anyone could be happy with Kemba. He's the definition of over-dribbler and w/o a jump shot all team have to do is play off him. Hell just play 2-3 vs them and make sure you box out. Back in the day Gtown had the African pipeline cornered but UCONN has that on lock now.

Man, I don't know what is up with Ebanks. Looks like he's the basketcase I feared he was after the fiasco earlier this season. He only played like 15 minutes against Notre Dame (and none in the second-half comeback) and was 0-4 with 0 points in the loss. And Huggins gave some indirect attacks on the lack of Ebanks' effort out there.

And WVU's schedule doesn't get any easier, so we need Ebanks...
