Wow, that great comeback fell just short! Oh well, great effort.

It looks to me that WVU doesn't have what it takes to win the Big East, as of now. The only hope may be when Kicili finally gets cleared to play in February against Pittsburgh. The coaches have hinted that he's really good, so we shall see.

Boeheim better make Scoop Jardine run back to Syracuse. What a terrible foul. Still, a nice win on the road for the 'Cuse. WVU certainly made it interesting with all those 3's at the end.

Only thing that bothers me about SU is the lack of depth on the bench.

LOL, the WVU Scout.com boards are in meltdown mode. I can see a little meltdown after losing to unranked Notre Dame, but losing by one against a top five Syracuse team = meltdown? Really?

Another win for Pitt, but it wasn't easy. I don't think the Panthers ever lead the game until OT though it was tied a lot during regulation. Yet another tough game against G-Town on Wednesday.

              **** Edgar Sosa.

Texas A&M tournament game all over again. All he has to do is hit 1 of those 3 free throws he missed and we win, as it changes the makeup of the game. But nope, he clangs them, allows Pitt to get back into it, then turns the ball over twice in OT when he has Knowles wide open for a kickout three.

              **** Edgar Sosa.

              Pitt got a gift today.

if "big" is 5 points. Gibbs was fouled on that 3 and should have won it in regulation. Oh well....another nice win for Pitt. I just wish we would have adjusted on the Samuels screen that L'Ville was running all day long.

You are right though, Louisville is going to be a huge test. They have given us problems in the past (unless the game is at MSG), so it will be interesting to see how our back court responds to the press. Plus, you always worry about a let down after winning all 3 games on the road trip. I hope this team does not get overconfident and start reading their press clippings.
OK - I am definitely starting to believe. I like how this team fights for 40 minutes. I also like how different guys are stepping up. Nasir Robinson had 26 points today?

Pitino is a great coach. He had a nice gameplan today, as expected, and Louisville was a free throw or two away from putting the game away at the end. I think Louisville is going to be right there at MSG in March.

I agree though - it is nice to see that Pitt wasn't reading the newspapers, and came out hungry - and carried that all the way through the end of the game. Brad's 2 free throws with 1.8 left were clutch. Great to see guys stepping up big with the game on the line.

I get to go to the Georgetown game on Wednesday. It's funny, it is work event, so I have to watch the game with three middle aged women who don't like basketball/know anything about the game. I hope we're not sitting by the Zoo...

I know you're disappointed with today, but at least the way I see it is that I get a similar feeling from Louisville's team from last year. I think you are going to get stronger and stronger as the year goes on, and you will be really tough at MSG and in the tournament. The Big East is loaded with talent again. This conference is something else....

Scoop has been making some ridiculous mistakes lately, but it is nice to have two good PGs, Triche has been playing awesome lately.

The lack of a SU bench is actually deceptive, Boeheim has always played a 7 man rotation. This year Boeheim is actually playing 8 players. But the 6th and 7th man off the bench are good enough to be starters for 95% of college basketball teams, Triche/Jardine and Kris Joseph are the future of this team, and the future looks bright.

Hell of a comeback by WVU today, and I cannot even fault SU that much because all of those three point shots at the end were contested.

True, Joseph and Scoop are good to have off the bench and Mookie Jones has been seeing some minutes lately, too. It would be nice to have another big man to rotate in like they did last year with Ongenaut.
