Pitt owns UCONN right now. Jamie Dixon is the Coach of the Year right now. I never thought Pitt could do this after loosing Blair, Young and Fields. Hail to Pitt!

OUCH!! Cincy loses a game because they can't get the ball inbounds. St.John's the beneficiary and gets their first BE win.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

This UConn team is an insult to the game of basketball. My biggest gripe with Calhoun is so damn evident this year, he's so ****ing stubborn and NEVER adjusts his strategy or gameplan to match his personnel. It's just the same old **** year in and year out regardless of who is on the team. Pathetic, simple, predictable half court offense.

Kemba Walker is awful, Jerome Dyson is like a homeless man's Allen Iverson of college basketball but with more turnovers.

Wow, I understand though. Walker is a TO machine. What kills me though is Dyson inability to keep the ball in his team's hands. He has a ll the ability in the world but he can't get over the hump, I guess. If these guys think they can breeze and get into the tourney, watch out they will be sorely mistaken. I still think they are missing Adrien and Thabeet waaaay too much and Calhoun hasn't adjusted (as you said) to this either.

Personally, I never liked Calhoun...I always thought he was a snotty coach and a baby when he loses. He couldn't even look John Thompson III in the eyes as he shook his hand after their game last weekend. Classless...

My favorite coach in the Big East not named John Thompson III is probably Jay Wright, what a class act that guy is. I used to like Tom Crean when he was at Marquette, he was another guy I didn't mind losing to. But, Calhoun comes off as a straight up a-hole...

Kemba was **** again, and we were completely dominated on the boards. Pitt was more physical and hustled more and came up with just about every loose ball. It's not Blair anymore, we shouldn't be getting pushed around like that. And free throws continue to be terrible.

I want to believe, but it is only January 13th. They have had some nice wins for a young team though.

Louisville at home on Saturday is a nice test for us. Louisville likes to play physical, and Pitt has had trouble with Pitino in the past, especially during the regular season.

Yep, this young team has really come together nicely after hitting a few bumps and having some problems in the OOC portion of the schedule. Seems the guys who made the preseason polls vastly underestimated this group or underestimated Dixon's ability to bring the team together and get the most out of his young players. I have to admit, I was a bit worried early in the season (especially after what I witnessed in the 1st half of the UNH game), but now it looks like they're going to be A-OK.

They won @ Syracuse, @ Cincy, and @ UConn. I think that's a pretty good statement right there. I'm not saying they're going to run the tables in the conference, but they've got plenty of talent to hang with the top teams in the Big East and make a serious run at the conference title. This team could be really dangerous in the next couple of years.

You better get ready to believe. I'm not saying they are going to win the conference, but then I have learned not to underestimate a Jamie Dixon team either.

You are right though, Louisville is going to be a huge test. They have given us problems in the past (unless the game is at MSG), so it will be interesting to see how our back court responds to the press. Plus, you always worry about a let down after winning all 3 games on the road trip. I hope this team does not get overconfident and start reading their press clippings.

Walker does seem to have no idea how to run an offense. He is great in the open court, but as soon as you force him into a half court game he looks lost.

It seems Dyson loses concentration out there. The one time in the first half he just stepped out of bounds with nobody guarding him. That's inexcusable.

In addition to the myriad of problems we have, the team is not tough either. Going to be a bubble team, just watch. Unless Kemba miraculously turns things around in the near future this will go down as the most disappointing team in UConn history.

Sounds like Calhoun as a touch of Tubby-itus. What you said was echoed by about 700,000 UK fans 5 years ago with Tubby. Very frustrating.

With that said, Calhoun is at least 7 times the coach and recruiter than Tubby ever dreamed about being. Good guy. Ok coach. Horrible recruiter.
