I was worried Jackson was going to dump it off to Harangody who was trailing and spotting up for the top of the key 3. Smith was drifting back so he would have had a clean look had Jackson kicked it back to him. I'm just thankful WVU survived another scare. As my brother put it, we close out games like Brad Lidge and always seem to let the other team rally. On a side note, John Flowers showing the Irish his version of the River Dance was freakin' hilarious.

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
Anyway, I could see them snatching the last spot for the top seed if they beat G'Town tomorrow. Outside of Syracuse, Kansas, and Kentucky, there's just a bunch of 2-3 seeds IMO. No one really stands out. I don't think any of them 'deserve' a 1 seed or are 1 seed quality, but by default someone will pick up that last spot and I still think it'll be Duke barring an upset in the ACC semi's or Championship game.Indianapolis Colts

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
It would be incredibly insane if Duke got that last #1 seed over WVU if WVU wins the BET considering WVU has the better resume by far and they also won the best league (arguably) in the NCAA.Comment

WVA or WVU won't get a number 1 over Duke even if they do deserve it.. Duke is always overhyped..Comment

No chance in hell WVU would get a #1 seed over dook if both teams win their conferences.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
I doubt WVU will get the 4th #1. Unless the Dukies crap the bed against Miami today, they will get it.
WVU will probably get the first #2, and be in Duke's bracket. Not much difference between the #1 and #2 in that case, although it is nice to have the #1 by your name. There is no way the committee will not give a #1 to the ACC regular season and conference tourney champ, especially when that teams name is Duke.Comment

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
Duke wins ACC tournament they get #1 seed, no questions asked, even if WVU wins the BET. Duke would have won the ACC regular season and tournament championships. IMO...winning the regular season title carries more weight than winning the conference tourney title.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
It's a sad state of affairs in college basketball just because your conference is really good, you get penalized for it, even if your RESUME is better than a certain teams.
Is it really WVUs fault that Syracuse was so good this year? Why should they be penalized when they are in a really good conference?
I know what the answer is, it's just sad that just because they are Duke, they will probably get that spot.Comment

Just read on ESPN that Onuaku's injury is a quad injury and he's listed day-to-day. Definitely a big sigh of relief there. Hopefully he'll be ready to go for the tourney, and I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't play much in the 1st round game.Currently Playing:

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
Duke probably locked in the #1 seed with the win over Miami today. Win or lose, the Mountaineers should have solidified a #2 seed this week. Should be a good game tonight, but I believe the Hoyas are going to be hard to beat tonight. Butler is going to have to get some help and they are definitely going to have to show better than they have lately.Comment
