In their bracket I'd say they were the 2nd favorite to get there behind Duke, so not too much of a long shot really.

They were the only team I correctly picked to reach the Final Four so maybe that skews my view.

I said a month ago, not the beginning of the tourny

before the Big East tourny, they were DEAD in the water. They struggled down across the finish line and finished what, 8th or 9th in the Big East (and blew their a chance at a 1st round bye by losing their final 2 regular season games).

Not to mention, theres been a fair share of teams that make a run in the Big East tournament and then get overseeded and crap the bed come tournament time (Cuse a couple years ago comes to mind immediately)

That's two balls that should go in 99% of the time and just didn't fall.

I agree once the bracket was set they weren't as much of a long shot, but until their run in the Big East tournament they weren't going to be close to a 3 seed.

They had lost 4 of 5, (and 7 of 11) including the final 2 of the regular season when they had a shot at a 1st round bye.

They would have made the tournament regardless of what they did in the Big East tournament, but if they lose in the 2nd round there (They weren't going to lose to Depaul in the 1st round lol) lets just say they would have been looking at a not so good seed.

I'm in total agreement with you there, both have had a great run to get this far, hard to see one of them have to go home.
