Congrats UCONN fans, great game. We had chances to win the game but overall a bad shooting night and every run we made to cut it close, Uconn would make a play or two to keep us at bay.
I did not like the shot Liggins took at the end, feels as though they should have drove it in and maybe kick it out to Lamb who was hot from 3 or take it to the hole with a chance to get fouled. Anyway I am disappointed but I did not expect this team to get this far, had them losing to Ohio St in the Sweet 16.
Should be a good game Monday night.NFL - Buffalo Bills

Is it just me or were those rims just awful last night? I don't think I have seen so many shots rattle out in two games in recent memory. The dome (open background is a different story because that is tricky by itself).
Oh, and Kentucky needs to learn how to make some free throws. TJ was 0-5. There is no excuse for that."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Like you said, Domes are just awful to shoot in, but no excuses on the shooting.. That's a disadvantage that both teams have.. I can deal with the missed shots, the missed free throws, the ridiculous flop near the baseline by Shabazz Napier, but looking back.. the one play that pissed me off more than anything was that obvious goaltending that wasn't called when the ball was bouncing around the rim and then got swatted against the backboard like a volleyball..Is it just me or were those rims just awful last night? I don't think I have seen so many shots rattle out in two games in recent memory. The dome (open background is a different story because that is tricky by itself).

Even though UK could have won, I still thought they went farther in the tourney than I could have hoped for (even though I had them winning in my bracket like I have every year since '96
).
Last year's team was far more talented. This year's team was hurt badly by the ruling of Enes Kanter. And next year, I would expect a few guys to stick around - Lamb almost for sure, Knight potentially to get his degree (he's a junior academically), and Jones really needs the seasoning even though he's my guess of who jumps. Combine that with one of the best recruiting classes out there with Gilchrist and Teague and Davis ... this team will be LOADED.
Congrats to Kemba and UConn. We'll be back, fellow UK fans. Coach Cal got a lot out of this team.Comment

Kemba and UConn are fun to watch, but 99% of America is going to be pulling for Butler tomorrow. I think Butler will pull it off.Ryan Spencer

Thanks for the recognition, but I'm not sure how an $EC fan can call my post hypocritical. If you follow the $EC fan credo of "it happens everywhere," Jim is no different than every other coach.
Besides, true hypocrisy is being critical of a coach until he's leading your program, which has been evident in at least a significant portion of the UK fanbase lately. Perhaps not those of you on this board, but it's still been quite prevalent.
Jim's just had some luck in dispatching Carolina's enemies ('99, '04, '11), and we're happy about that. "The enemy of my enemy..." and all that.Comment

lol no kidding, if anything last night symbolized two things.
What is right in college basketball (VCU/Butler) and what is wrong with college basketball (Calipari/Calhoun).
Saying Calhoun is slaying villains, sure he took one out but Calhoun isn't squeaky clean himself.Favorite Teams:
