I think Wiggins spurns Kentucky because Cal will try to sell him that. The dude is a low profile guy that is expected to be the best player coming out of high school since LeBron. I can see him sayin"F--k you Cal, I'm bigger than your legacy and I'll prove it" in the back of his mind somewhere.

I think he comes to Kentucky, but if he doesn't it won't be for that reason. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go to FSU either though since his parents went there and a guy from his high school team is going there as well.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I'm confused. You say he is a low key guy then say he will say "**** you" because I'm bigger than your legacy?

In his mind..yes.
All the inside info is saying it doesn't look good for Kentucky or Kansas, nd it's between FSU and UNC and a lot of it is based on the decisions of the UNC players, which have most all said they will come back, whatever that means.
Ofcourse the inside info don't know much either. I think his brother made a huge slip about Kentucky when he said it would not be a goo situation for him.Comment

A lot of the information in the media is just plain ****. Everyone said Julius Randle didn't like the Harrison twins and wouldn't play with them, and we saw what happened.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
You are correct, the media is not always right. Also, the whole "he'll sign with FSU because of his parents" argument is overrated. If they have such strong family ties, then why did his brother ended up at Wichita State? He's basically an average college player, although he did get some PT for a Final Four team....so one would think he was good enough to play for FSU. Only argument for Noles, in my opinion, is his teammate (Mayes) signing with them. Well, that and the nice weather."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
You guys are blowing my Wiggins comments --- which are mostly based on facts --- way out of proportion. Andrew Harrison is projected as a Top-5 pick in 2014 whereas Paige, Tharpe and FSU's point guard are not. That is a FACT. To merely repeat what all the scouts are saying...that he's a better player than the other guys....I don't see how that can be construed as arrogant. But I apologize if it came off that way.
Secondly, I didn't say that they were going to make a documentary; all I said was that you better believe Calipari is selling the possibility of an epic legacy to Wiggins. It is a FACT that many pundits are touting UK's freshman class as the best ever....you even said so yourself....and neither Self or Williams or Hamilton can sell that type of incoming class (or returning team) to Wiggins. Hence, I think UK has the upper hand.
Bringing the Fab Five documentary into it was merely my way of saying "this class has legendary potential." I don't think North Carolina or Kansas have the same potential which is why I think Wiggins, based on his comments, is a UK lean.
Feel free to agree or disagree with anything I said...it is a message board after all.
If you would have just said the bold part above instead of putting down Pj Hairston, JMM & Joel James as if they are good enough to warrant anything before the season even began then we wouldn't have had that big of a problem with your original post. It was unintentional but your post came across as if the other universities players don't compare at all to UK when there are multiple NBA players on their rosters(with the exception of FSU who does have Mayes)."This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Some won't get it and for that i won't apologize"- Talib KweliComment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
redsrule was only referring to the rumor that there was no way that Randle and the Twins would play together because they didn't like each other. Twins committed a while ago and Randle just committed. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't like them. Plus there have been numerous quotes from both parties saying they have known each other since they were 9/10 years old and are friends.
Hope that clears his comment up as I am still bewildered about your all star game comment.#WeAreUKComment

he's going to have an adjustment to make in the college game.
He's not going to dominate the game especially playing with the arrogant twins on the same court.
This is Cals biggest job so far in his coaching regime at UK. Meshing all those egos is going to be a tough challenge.Comment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
I'm saying no need to be so hyped up because he scored 18 points in a prime time all star game. All I've heard is Randle this, Randle that after the JBC.

I said the media went WAY overboard in saying that Randle didn't like the Harrison twins and wouldn't play with them, when that was obviously a lie. Also don't confuse intensity for arrogance. They are extremely emotional players.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I literally said nothing about how Randle played at the all-star games, you need re-read what I said.

Every big recruiting site and their experts have said nothing but bad attitudes about the twins and that they only look for each other on the floor.
It's obvious in their AAU games. Good luck to Cal though. It's gonna be tough.Comment

And I never said anything about the twins and the comment about not liking randle or vice versa.
Until my last comment.
All my initial comment about was about Randle.
He's not going to have this kinda dominance like people think. Even in a weak SEC.Comment
