Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
Do I think Calipari can reel in Parker and Randle? They willl likely make late 2013 spring decisions and it will come down to who UK loses to the NBA. A way to early prediction is that Noel, Polythress. and Bennett, if he commits, will be gone. Wiltjer, Harrow, Beckam, Goodwin will return, therefore UK will most likely get one, maybe both and most certainly will get the Harrison Twins.
Another UK reload!!Comment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
I think the Harrison twins are the big overall get for 2013 for any team and UK is in the drivers seat. Noel was a real distraction for top programs that were trying to distribute frontcourt attention between Parker, Noel and Randle, but since Noel reclassified and committed to UK, Calipari has just now really started putting the screws down on Randle and Parker and it seems to be working. Randle seems re-invigorated at the prospect of playing for Calipari as was posted by Rivals. Remember that after being considered a heavy UK lean, Randle then immedietely cooled-off on UK when Calipari opted to attend 2 of Noel's games on consecutive weekends last year.

Parker is Illinois bound unless something drastic happensComment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
This is the first I've heard of Parker being an Illinois lean. Although, with UK in the final two for Troy Williams, it makes sense. Really like Parker though, he has a Paul Pierce/Carmelo Anthony type game."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
Had Illini retained Webber, or hired Parker's HS Coach to replace him, there chances would increase. But now, it would be a suprise. Duke is probably the unofficial leader with UK closing fastLast edited by gcabaltica; 04-22-2012, 08:00 PM.Comment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
With Hicks & Britt already signed, I'm cautiously optimistic we can get 1 of the two between Williams & Randle. Getting both would be great but I know that's beyond a long shot. I honestly would not care which on of the two we got because both would bring something much needed to our team. Just get one Roy lol
Also has Nate King given any hints as to where he is interested in?"This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Some won't get it and for that i won't apologize"- Talib KweliComment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
Except for the very tip-top 5-stars, transfers could very likely be bigger gets than recruits. Calipari again recognized this early, UK's harrow is a better PG than any in the '13 recruiting class, and because he rotates players in and out so quick, 1-2 years of eligibility means nothing. If Harrow has a star season and gets NBA ready in a year, and he was probably better Teague by all accounts and rumors during UK practices, it will cause a huge influx of transfers in '14.Comment

Re: 2013 Recruiting Thread
I don't think he'll go to Duke, I don't think it will be UK either, Michigan State would be the likely destination if he were to decide soon IMO. Legendary coach, great basketball tradition, can win a championship there, not so far away from Chicago that his dad can get to his home games without flying.
I think Illinois has a chance and the longer he waits to pull the trigger the better it gets IMO but MSU is a much bigger player in his recruitment than most seem to think and if he goes somewhere that isn't Illinois my money is on Michigan State.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks
