Been trying this method out now over the last week, I've played around 30 games and I'm at the 22nd Jan, my favourite team is the most interested team in me right now and I've become a starter and told my star teammate to shove it, but the GM meeting afterwards does not show the option to complain about a teammate, only to say things are great, ask for a trade or complain about the coach.

I dashboarded out a couple of times to see if I get any other options. Do I now just ask for a trade while my team is the most interested or do I play another 5 and see what options I have at the next GM meeting?

Keep playing until the option to tell the GM you dont get along with a teammate pops up. Itll come.

Thanks for the reply, I told the GM everything was fine, played another 5 games and the option was there. Once I told my GM to trade Josh Smith I was in the trade rumors and the Raptors were the only team with green interest. 4 games later and I got traded for Austin Daye and a 2nd rounder. Perfect trade, the Raps didn't even give up a rotation player or a 1st round pick.

Worked for me and now I'm on the Lakers!

I do think it revolves around not necessarily starting, but when you offer up your complaint for the star player, to make sure the team you want to be on is the #1 team.

My PG is in his second season. I've kept a good team chemistry and GM relationship. I wanted to ask for a trade but was scared to because nobody ever goes where they want.

On my center, I did all of that but DID ask for a trade and got traded to the Bucks. The only teams I chose were the Memphis Grizzlies and the LA Clippers. This is really ruining this mode for me since FA is broken and 2K refuses to acknowledge it.

Youre not supposed to ask for a trade.

Hey Sir Duke 27, thanks for posting this man. This really works. I got traded to my team The Heat and now I'm chillin with lebron and wade. I told my friend this and he just got traded to his team the Brooklyn nets. So thanks man this works. I don't know how many my careers I've wasted trying to do it the regular trade process way.

Since I was too far to try this, I got traded all over the place.

However, I wonder if I tell my GM in the next meeting I don't like the star player, he will trade me to the most interested even though I'm in season 2.

The relationship should go down to 1% and the most interested is usually the Thunder or Pacers where I wouldn't mind being.

I'll report back after I do this.

I did the steps except for the fact that I agreed to be the sidekick. However, I deliberately tried not to pass him the ball and after that game, told the GM that I couldn't stand being with him and ask that he be traded. Ten or more games later ( yes, ten instead of five....) I was finally traded to my favorite team. It was a long wait but glad it worked.

the number of games between telling gm you dont like the star player and you getting traded varies on every save. Like OP said, it depends on a number of factors and not every save is going to work the same way.

Hoping this works for me.... I've done everything outlined....and just made it to the "complain about teammate" option.... I've played 3 games and am just waiting to see where I get moved to. Hoping it's the pacers... who I did choose as favorite team in pre draft and who also show the most interested.

Idk. I havent seen anyone try it. The patches dont make a difference. But Id like to see if this works for anyone beyond their second season.

Second time I'm doing this from the Kings, and again I didn't get the sidekick scene. Just to confirm not all teams have that. I just asked for Rudy Gay to be traded as soon as I made the starting line-up.
