Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE Thread

Just thought i'd chime in for a sec... as an association/MYleague only player for MANY MANY years and providing projects to accompany the mode; the complainers have been utterly disgusting.

The additions that have been added have been some of the greatest things ever introduced in ANY sports game... ever.

Obviously, new modes... on a NEW game generation will need some updating which they have been doing. just crazy & i'm assuming all of the people whining obsessively are relatively new & have not seen the level interaction that we here had seen before.

The level of interaction, correspondence, community suggestions, timely updates, confirmed fixes & everything else that we've received this year has been unprecedented & i'm sure the same for any game.

Same goes for all of the gameplay & tuning complaints... we have an abundance of ability to tweak things to our liking like never before... hopefully i don't get banned for this post but honestly; i'm VERY disappointed with the community's response & comments toward game devs' work & response. everyone is entitled to opinion but it has been grossly inaccurate.

Thank you Leftos, LDK, Czar, Beds & everyone else for all the hard work, listening to the community & checking in to respond to the community in a timely fashion... some of us greatly appreciate it & hope that you are not too turned off by the unappreciative masses.

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE Thread

I'll look into the issue with the custom roster. I've seen some reports but they're pretty rare and lacking detailed information, nor has anyone in-house ever had this happen to them, so it's not an easy issue to track down, but I'll keep on gathering info.

Regarding badges, there are attribute requirements, the distribution is certainly not random. But there's no direct translation of an attribute set to a badge. Just like three players with a standing three of 90 won't have the same 3-point related badges, same goes to progression.

tabarnes19, are you sure you have enough space in your roster (including pending qualifying offers) as well as cap space? I'll see if in the future there can be a description that explains why you can't select the player to verify his accepting the contract.

Leaf, I'll look into your specific issue about not being able to sign two players at once, that's the first time I've seen something like this. Is it consistent? Have you tried another save with a different team and it happened there too?

I'll try to look again. I know I had enough roster room. When selecting the contract offer I was in the black, so I assume I had enough cap space.

Leftos I did confirm a glitch with approving CPU trades that Soundtrack was talking about... There's video below

Apparently, trades don't register between the player progression section and before the training camp section. This is between CPU/CPU teams so I'm not sure if their cap is the reason it didn't go through.

I started recording at the beginning of that section and there were only four trades, so I didn't have the problem with the multitude of trades that he had.

          Spoiler

That helps, jeremym480. I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Wait..So there is an attribute requirement and there is no random distribution, yet theres no direct link to specific badges?

Is there any specific reason that this isn't the case? I mean, for certain things, I can understand that.

For example, if a player has a certain shot close or low post offense rating, I would mind if that spit out a random offensive badge, related to low post scoring.

However, I just don't see how having a certain standing 3 point shooting rating doesn't directly translate to a badge. What other factor could be involved that could possibly prevent that player from attaining that badge, under this circumstance? I am assuming that actual in game stats don't factor into this.

If three players have the same standing 3 point rating, they should get the same badge IMO. I don't really understand why they wouldn't.

I would hope that there are direct formulas that translate to specific badges. For example, if a player has a certain dunk rating, combined with a certain vertical and quickness, I would expect that to directly translate into highlight reel or something like that.

              Just my two cents

Also, could you shed light as to why we can edit the hard cap, but not the salary cap? was there a specific reason as to why this was done?

Would you be able to patch in salary cap editing? can we get a slider for this? I mean, I'm thankful that we can edit the Hard Cap for once, but not being able to edit the Salary cap just seems odd. So I am assuming that there was an actual reason for this.

What about the broken player retirement logic? Players don't retire at all after season 2 ends witch leads to have a lot of guys who are over 40 years old in the freeaget poll and with low ratings and sometimes on teams when they should retire.

How dose the Hard cap work? What is the NBA hard cap set to in real life?

Thanks a ton for posting this

I had trade frequency on 55 so I assume that was why I was bombarded

I probably had to approve/decline over 60 trades throughout the whole season, including that section between player progression and training camp

The real life hard cap is 100, while the salary cap is 65. Meaning that if a player plays more than 3 years with a team, the team may go over the cap to sign that player and enter the hard cap.

I would like to make the salary cap higher while keeping that hard cap

I forgot to mention, with player morale difficulty at 45, Tony Snell had a -1 overall from about December through the rest of the season, claiming that he "didn't like the direction of the team", yet we were second in the conference

He was also playing 20 minutes per, off the bench, if that matters

Will you look into teams not spending money in free agency? With the hard cap at 90, the 76er's highest paid player after the first offseason, was Joel Embiid's rookie contract.

Its like certain teams don't spend money at all.

I can understand logic that makes it so that certain teams don't spend into the luxury tax, but every team should make an attempt to spend at least 65 million or so, the 76ers probably spent less than half that.

                              Thanks Leftos.

While I'm here I might as well post my first MyLeague update of the year.
I'm 11 games in and I'm sitting at 7-4 (I've played 10 in full and intervened in the 4th quarter in the other). My wins have been Philly, Milwaukee, Washington, Boston, Utah, Miami & Denver. And my losses have been Memphis, Atlanta, Washington & Chicago.

The good news is that I'm 7-4, the bad news is that I just lost Stuckey for 2-4 months with a broken ankle. I'm playing with real injuries so PG-13 was already out for the year. Now I'm moving Miles to SG and inserting Copeland into the starting lineup at SF. Rudez with now start getting significant minutes off the bench.

From here on out I will only be playing 3-4 games a month and using Simcast/Intervene for the rest. Below is my stats up to this point.

Its like certain teams don't spend money at all.

I can understand logic that makes it so that certain teams don't spend into the luxury tax, but every team should make an attempt to spend at least 65 million or so, the 76ers probably spent less than half that.
Have you looked at the Sixers cap sheet recently? They finished 13-14 with 27 million on the books and start this year with 35 million on the books. I imagine next year will be the same.
