I'd have to say that, with the patches, the gameplay of this MyCareer is the best that it has ever been. Besides the fact that positions outside of PG can't run plays, you don't have to go for 30pt triple-doubles just for your team to stay competitive. I'm playing on the Clippers at SG after three years on the Pistons and, besides CP3's alley-oop turnovers, the gameplay is smooth and your teammates contribute. Overall, I'm having a lot of fun with the gameplay of this year's Mycareer.

Yupp. Good to hear man. I'm on the Bulls on my 2nd career (sf) and I usually spend the 1st half racking up assists then going for my points in the 2nd half.

I was quite content leaving my outside shooting skills at level 15(85) because I could consistently hit 60% of my jumpers on SS/Sim. Now that I have this ridiculous volume shooter badge my shooting from the field and the FT line have dropped by about 5% from the floor and 3% from the line. I'm not hitting jumpers I drive and miss layups; if I drive and get fouled I miss the freaking freethrows. Almost every freaking shot is "slightly late", even shots that I release before the white line or on the line are late. The badge is gold and I have cool and collected. How is someone that shoots 16 shots and averages 10 assists a game a volume shooter? There are 2 other players that take more shots on this team than I do in Walker and Jefferson.

Edit: I maxed out my outside shooting and now everything is "slightly early". I guess I'm gonna have to change and relearn my shot.

Are you not able to get selected to the Rookie/Sophomore game? I made the All-Star team though.

Edit: Is it even the Rookie/Sophomore game anymore? I see a combined 10 3rd year players participating.

I agree. Recently, my Lakers traded Calderón for Lin and I play SG when José is on the court, meaning I have to play off-ball and basically can only run PnR (which is not always useful as SG). I have all the plays in auto, just like Doc wants, and usually the offense looks very smooth and comfortable. Kobe has been playing great since the patch came out and he averages 21 pts per game, and I don't have to go and score 30+ every game; I "only" average 26, but before Kobe started to put in work, I averaged almost 30. I still have to find a way to involve Randle and Hill more, though.

I got it the first time I shot more than 30 times. It was the first game I was "obsessed" with shooting since I had a bad % (35 or so). At first, I struggled trying to find a good balance, but now I usually score around 8 points during the first quarter (with 50-60 % normally), although sometimes I start really cold and get hot later in the game. But that badge is indeed a pain in the ***, lol.

I have 87 outside shooting, and I'm quite content with it, although I've been in 3P shooting slump lately, and my % has gone down to 35 and it was 43 at first. I've been changing releases, going from Ray Allen's to Aldridge's, to #21, to Lillard, to Aldridge again. This one is working pretty good for me, usually I get 3-4 green releases per game, most of them mid-range shots (I love to shoot those).

I got it after a game where I shot 27 times. I scored 39 points on 16-27 from the field(1-5 from 3). 8 of the shots were putbacks after o.rebs, 5 were off layups in transition, 6 were on dunks off of screens, 5 were 3s and 3 were midrange jumpers. I also had 16 assists in that game. Big Al finished with 29 on 12-26. Walker had 17 on 6-13. Stephenson had 16 on 6-13. So it wasn't like I took a disproportionate number of my teams shots either. Also, I started a game 7-7 from the field and shot/made 5 FTs in the 1st and still didn't get hot or even heat up; it wasn't until I missed my next 4 shots when I came in in the 2nd that I started to heat up.

Rather sure I played in the rookie/soph game my second season. I remember going into my first allstar weekend and I wanted to score a career high points in the rookie game, win both contests, and literally only pass the ball in the allstar game. I did none of that.

Is it still possible to enter and sim to get attribute upgrades? Because I already have all the endorsements, been through the MVP, NBA championship stuff, and I still have 91 attribute upgrades. I see no incentive to continue to play on, but if there are 8 more attribute upgrades, or whatever the cap is, I want them.

Also just did that enter the game and then sim to end about 20 times and got nothing. So I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong, or if it's patched, or what.

You have to play the games to get attribute upgrade, sim games don't count. If you want it asap , best bet would be to foul out quickly when the game starts. Not sure if it actually works.

Well the first game I tried and I got an upgrade. Although I played like 6 minutes... Never knew it was so difficult to foul out. I was reaching on everyone. The computer moves the ball too quickly or they just don't call fouls on my guy.

Not sure if it was the next game because of the sim to end or that was just what was going to happen. I've gotten an attribute upgrade from simming to the end before. But that was at least a month ago.

Fouling out works. Fastest to Intentionally foul, though if you have badges you need to work on, spending the first q doing that, then fouling out would be better.

But if only fouling out for the attribute upgrades, make sure to put on HOF for the 2x VC.

edit: remember, you will lose your hot-spots, so when you want to legit play or play park again, remember to regain them.

Has anyone else been having trouble lately with their game crashing at the end of a MyCareer game? Happened to me after the Pharell cutscene after I clinched the conference semi-finals and happened again after I won game 6 of the WCF. Two whole games I had to replay. Luckily I won the replay of the conference semi-finals clincher, but I lost the replay of game six in the WCF and now I have to go back to Houston for a game 7. Gonna be really upset if I lose that one.

They don't call it that no more. It like what they did last year for All-star weekend. A mix of both Rookie and Sophomores. Not sure about the 3rd year players. I think I seen a videos of someone playing in it but not 100% sure.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

I agree with those saying that gameplay has improved since the patch.

I am on year 2 with my PG. I signed with the Lakers and they let Boozer walk while signing Lou Williams (irl Toronto). I am trying to average a triple-double (at 25pts, 11.5rbd, 9.7ass currently).

Kobe is fighting nagging injuries but still is 3rd in the league's point leaders at 26pts a game. Kobe, Nick Young, Hill and Randle all perform as expected; only have trouble getting Kelly and Lin going at times.

Our weakness is the Post and my coach satisfaction is at 59% and dropping because Doc keeps calling for PnR sets then autocalls non-pnr plays. Plus, I admit I enjoy a faster paced game so I push the ball a lot.

We are in 4th place - .5 games out of third (behind Spurs) but we just beat the Trailblazers who are 9 games in front of the Thunder and 9.5 of the Spurs. 100% team chemistry.

Does anyone know what happens if coach satisfaction goes really low?

Only really frustrating thing for me is that I have 4 turnovers a game - which ends up being more than half of our team turnovers each game.

Oh, the forced mini-celebrations after scoring is also annoying - by the time I'm done posing as He-man, Lillard is past my guy and getting set to drain a 3 ... Idk why 2k insists on forcing these things on everyone. I want to model my player on Durrant's more humble and letting his courtwork do the talking than the more demonstrative in your face type of attitude.

Maybe next year they will give us options in that regard.

Defense is still the most fun I have - just is slightly different than in years past. For example: I almost never touch turbo while defending. These changes for the most part are great. The only thing I really dislike is the inclusion of the flop command. (Remembering Vlad you'd think I'd be o.k. with it) But no, I wish they'd remove it and use the command sequence for the fakes like they did in prior years.
