Yeah I believe I should get it once I put some more games in especially since my defense is already up there plus I love the defense side so it helps create a better offense for me and my team. "Offense wins games, defense wins championships"

I don't know what's changed in the past week.. the patch seemed to have made my passing better.. then today.. it's a complete joke.. icon passing.. passing out of double teams again.. I have 10 turnovers in the RISING STARS game.. .. randomly throwing it 50 feet out of bounds.. throwing it off the opponents backs.. just out of the blue ..

Besides the traveling calls that have NEVER happened in any 2K game.. that happened late in the game vs. Memphis to give me a loss, this has now just gotten seriously stupid. I average 8 assists a game as SG, and now I'm getting double digit turnover games making the same passes I always have? The passing out of double teams WAS bad for a bit b4 the patch.. then it seemed better a couple games then when I loaded the game I had to "go back to main screen to complete update" and 3 games today are 2K jokes with turnovers.

After the 11th turnover.. in the RISING STARS game.. I fouled on out purpose.. with 30 pts 8 boards 5 assists (and still 8 minutes to play).. none of them were turnovers you make because you force stuff.. just that the game seems to have reverted BACKWARDS with the patch into forcing you into turnovers to balance out the score

Even with this turnover trend starting.. I did get interceptor after the Houston game and posterizer after the Rising Stars game

Lillard hit a 3 with 2 seconds left to force overtime (Jrue Holiday missed his own chance for a game winner).. maybe not 100% screwed yet.. haven't lost but 90% so I'd say when the game shuts your team down to let the other side come back.

OK.. I just got called for a SECOND traveling call.. first possession of overtime.. I started dribbling into the paint.. the double came and the whistle blew.. WTF?

Possession after that.. Robinson hands the ball to me.. one step and the ball is knocked away from me.. ANOTHER turnover.. whatever the game updated this time (when I started it went back to title game to install some small update) completely screwed me late in the 4th and OT

OK.. NOW we lost, 117-111 .. the game took away my ability to make a jumper in overtime.. 43 pts 15 boards 9 assists.. and the above garbage caused us to lose a huge lead in the second half.. like I said b4.. I haven't got a traveling call in YEARS.. and got 2 in the final minute, while dribbling, trying to hold on to the lead.

Is 2k trying to come up with new ways each year to make people not want to play the 3pt shootout and the dunk contest?

Woo. I managed my first ankle breaker today. I thought those had been removed from the game completely.

I was in Philly as a SG. Basically, I wanted him to be like a Michael Jordan. Insane scoring, lockdown D, rebounds, assists, the whole nine yards. I signed in Philly because I thought it was ideal. Noel and Embiid lockdown the paint and rebound but don't need to score on offense. MCW is a great passer and gets steals. They even drafted some auto generated rookie the year before I went there who, in his 3rd year, is an 86 OVR scoring machine. Perfect... except Embiid had torn his ACL, and Noel tore his hamstring. The shortest time before they come back has been 8-10 weeks, and then it resets to out for season. It did this twice. F**k this I thought. I saw that Anthony Davis had left NOLA and signed with the Nets. Ok, that's a good 1-2 punch. I'll sign there. Then 3 games into the year this dude blows out his achilles (of course on a wide open jumpshot. Do you even need to ask? lol) and is out for 4-6 months!!! Does anyone know if that is still an issue where your co-stars on the team get injured every year? I remember when the game first came out I heard something about this but I've never experienced it until now. One would think they would have tried to take care of this.....

I find playing a PG much more annoying this year. Center is BY FAR easier to win with (HoF difficulty). With the PG you are at the mercy of the shooting of your team which everyone knows SUCKS. OMG how your teammates BRICK shots that the computer team would drill. It really does. Not matter the type of shots too which burns my arse. Yes...people can miss a dunk...but NOT EVERY F-ING GAME!!!!!@)$@&&@$$&. You breakdown a defense with a drive and pass out to a wide open guy and you KNOW he is going to brick because he is 2/2 in the game or the other team is on a run...of if you have too many assists in the game. Then there is the pass to the PF who is 5 feet from the basket and you draw the defender in you before passing. He now has a layup, dunk, chip shot...pick one. What does the computer AI do? Your teammate will do this 3 second "I am going to take my time and prolong my leap so the defender can come back and block my shot OR I will just brick it because the other team is too far behind" shot. I have been tracking these particular shots. My guy is shooting around 40% on those GIMMIES. When the 'fix' is on when I KNOW I am not allowed to get an assist I give up the ball and the same guy who was just bricking shots I gave to them starts hitting.

                  What freaking fun is that?

At least with the center you can get OR's to give your team more shots which in turn helps you get past the 'scripted' areas of the game faster. I love this game...and hate it for all its worth.

One question for high star pg players: If you get your defense stat up, is it easier to keep the pgs in front of you? I do not want to invest points if it does not matter...like the rebound stat. Currently I have a terrible time keeping pgs in front of me. They just slip by at will. If I manage to guess right on which direction they will drive too they simply try again. Eventually I will pick wrong and they will blow by for a 99% make shot.

So, does the defense stat widen your defensive bubble so they can't blow by as easily? Please...only those playing HoF difficulty respond. Help!!!!

Yeah it does help a lot. The better your defense is the more they will stay in front of you. Lateral quickest is what keeps them in front of you rather then them blowing by you.

I haven't had that issue, luckily. In 2k15, I signed with the Magic in the first season and there weren't many injuries, none of the starters (Oladipo, Harris, Frye and Vucevic) got injured. But the team was plain bad, and ended up 12-70.

For the second season, I joined the Lakers and I have been quite lucky with injuries as well. The only important injuries was Randy Foye, which injured the first game he played after he was traded for Nick Young, he'll be 4-6 weeks. But Kobe, Randle or Hill haven't got injured, and knock on wood!

It may be annoying at times, yes, but it's more real and satisfying when you win. The "2k cheese" have gone down tremendously since the last patch (at least for me). I feel for you when you say your team mates are trash, I went through that during my first season with the dreadful Orlando Magic and also with the Lakers (it was as bad). When chemistry went to 80, the team started to play better, and even though we still lost some games, there weren't blowouts. Now, we all play so well and we have in a win streak and pushing to get a playoff spot (around 30 games left). I hope situation improves for you as it improved for me

I would agree that playing as center looks more fun this year that last year. Rebounding as improved and so has the post game. I might start another MC as center to see how it goes

It definitely is, you should try to improve your defense to level 15-16 to be effective; you might get torched by some PG, especially all-stars like Lillard, Westbrook or Rose, but chances would be slimmer. Also, improve your athlete attributes to the same level, if they blow by you, you might a have chance to contest or even block the shot. However, don't expect to always stop a PG just because have high defense stats, sometimes they will blow by you and score. I play on HOF Default and I find it fair and real, and while it can be frustating at times, it's very gratifying when you cause a 24-sec violation or get a steal/block.
