Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
I would like to see the halftime show return. But only if they add more to it. Like giving us musings from "around the league"; like the rumor mill ( include the reasons and potential destinations. This info is already generated in the rumor mill tab) , coach hot seats, disgruntled players, front office ultimatums, award front runners; how the fictional draft prospects are performing, etc. Otherwise I would rather not have anything because I buttoned through it too because there was nothing pertinent there for me. I'm already in-tuned to the game I'm playing. Why would I want to watch it a 2nd time; especially if I'm already playing 12 min quarters?Last edited by lakers24; 10-03-2014, 01:04 AM.Comment

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
I made an account just to say I am disappointed...Being able to see some of the highlight plays that I made on the hardest difficulty with 12 minutes quarters was awesome. The graphics and the animations made the halftime replays beautiful to look at...I am going to miss looking at them from time to time.
Also removing something ''new'' to add something ''old''? I agreed to that excuse when we used to play our games on DVD's but we got blu-rays now...Not a valid excuse at this point.Comment

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
There are many theories as to why. Enough carry enough validity, that at the end of the day, it just may be a good move in the long run. As I said in the previous thread, if this means we get NFL 2K5's halftime eventually, then good riddance to the halftime show as it was, for now.Comment

Honestly that'd be better reserved for a weekly recap show, though your point is still very valid. Just having a studio show that shows highlights, does a bit of a analysis of the plays, and shows updates from a few other games in progress or that have been completed would be revolutionary for sports games.Comment

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
As expected, a bunch of overreactions in here. I want a halftime show myself, but to disregard everything they've added to the game presentation-wise by focusing on one thing they omitted isn't weighting the issue appropriately imo. I always liked the halftime show, never found it boring as it was. But to say because the halftime show isn't there that now the game's presentation has taken some major hit is ridiculous imo. But not surprising, considering a few years ago people here voted NCAA Basketball 2010 Best Sports Game presentation that year simply because it had authentic CBS/ESPN music and screen wipes. People totally disregarded the extremely stale commentary, the lack of pre/half/post game presentation, real-time presentation of stats, etc. It basically won because of music and screen wipes.
No, I didn't want to see the halftime show minimized in any way, but to act like that one thing missing makes the game lag behind it's other sports contemporaries is silly imo. And completely disregards anything they've added this year like the motion captured cheerleader routines, team intros, pre/post game additions, etc. As well as disregards the many innovations they've done over the years like the live video city shots. Not to mention all that was added from a gameplay and feature standpoint. I get being disappointed about the halftime show not being what it should, but some perspective should be shown before flipping out or overreacting.
I'd still say based on what I've seen the game has by far the best presentation in a sports game, when taking into account all facets of presentation - not just a halftime show.HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
It was being skipped due to lack of depth and attention to detail. Live 14's halftime show was spot on, 2K has the foundation they just need to compile all of the elements collectively not addition by subtraction...

What do you guys smoke? If you want to say it was better, that's fine. You're entitled to that opinion. But spot on in of itself? Fascinating.Comment

Oh, I forgot that they almost deleted association mode too, maybe bacause they thought the 4 years old average MyPlayer kid was skipping it.

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread
Couldn't watch Live 14's halftime show, for one it was too long, simplistic, and repetitive, and mostly because of the horrid animations/player movement. The main reason I love watching 2K's replays and highlights is because of the life like player movement and animations, I be mesmerized.Comment
