Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
The Celtics have far more assets than the Knicks so it's not really a fair comparison. They can also acquire Westbrook and still have room to spend in the coming seasons, but it's missing the larger point. Simply having cap space only means so much. The Celtics have always had trouble bringing in big time FA without trading for them before their contract is up. Lets not forget how often teams miss on draft picks either.Comment

I also control them, so I know about their assets in the future years. Hell, in just the coming draft they have a ton of flexibility. I have my own pick which is projected to be #3, the Mavs 1st Rounder (and in my MyLeague they are terrible even with Rondo. They're projected to be a Top 5 and since there's no protecting picks, then that's not something I have to worry about.), then I have the 1st Rounders of both the Grizzlies and Clippers.
I haven't really looked that far ahead since I'm only in February, but ideally using my 1st pick on a good big who can block shots. Someone like Karl-Anthony Towns or Myles Turner, then packaging the next lottery pick with either another player or another first rounder (or both) for a big name. I'm hoping that could give the Celtics a quick turn around to get right back in the mix in the East..... And that's not even considering the wealth of assets that they have past the 2015 draft.
Finding that pick name player is going to be a struggle, but no matter what if it's a big name, then there's going to be people who think that it's unrealistic. That's why the main thing that I will be looking for is fairness. The Westbrook trade could be fair, considering how many picks that they have, especially if you have two lottery picks like I will. Also, considering that OKC has let Superstars go in the past. Personally, I think something like Smart, Olynyk, a lottery pick and another 1st should get Westbrook.... with that said I don't know if that's a move I would want to make.
For me, as long as it's fair for both sides and I can make sense of it, then I'll make the move. I'm still about a month or so away, so expect to see me here tossing ideas around in a few weeks.Last edited by jeremym480; 01-29-2015, 02:24 PM.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Really considering moving Reggie Jackson. Kinda regretting trading for him even though I didn't give up a whole lot since he's a one year rental. And I've been playing well since he's been hurt. Would it be a smart move to trade him?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I would say give Magic a second and take away the first they are giving the Bucks because although Kendall Marshall is playing better then Luke Ridnour, Channing Frye is starting for Orlando but is far more efficient then Ilyasova.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I can't see the hornets taking this deal. They already have a young PG with an extension and a decent backup. They don't need two more PG, particularly when neither is good on defense. Also, they are short on wings who could replace Sir-Lance-Alot. If you are using old roster, try switching maybe Jose for JR or Shump.GT: minibeast100

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I started a MyLeague with the T'Wolves and was looking to move Bennett as I'm not a big fan of his.
I really like Thomas Robinson for the Blazers, and so I tried a Trade Finder for him and was offered
T'Wolves Receive:
Thomas Robinson and CJ McCollum
Blazers Receive:
Anthony Bennett and Zach Lavine
Just want to know if this is fair, not concerned of realism. Zach provides a great young athletic PG/SG, IMO better than Steve Blake. Bennett and Robinson in my mind is basically an even swap. Robinson is a better rebounder, but Bennett is slightly better offensively and a little younger.
CJ isn't really what the Blazers were hoping he'd be, and with Allen Crabbe and Zach Lavine I feel that is more than enough to cover the SG backup spot. However, for me I love CJ's shooting ability vs. Zach's raw shooting skills.
Did I rob the Blazers or is this pretty fair?Comment
