IMO yes, especially for some picks. It's clear from the Chandler and Afflalo talk that Denver is looking for picks.

The Top 10 players in the league are well below 30. If you're not Anthony Davis there is no way you're even getting traded for a top 15. The guys Minnys getting back all have potential, plus there's a pick involved. Basketball is a team sport, you can be prime Mike but without a supporting cast you're winning nothing.

I'm well aware of the age of the Top 10 players.

Ok Oladipo and Gordon have potential. Wiggins potential far exceeds both of theirs. So why would Minnesota ever dream of trading him in the middle of his rookie season?

There is no realistic or fair value trade for Wiggins that doesn't include top NBA player(s) coming back. Minnesota isn't trading him for unproven players and a draft pick.

Fairness over realism. Fairness over realism.

...and how is trading a player with Wiggins gigantic potential for a combo guard and athletic tweener, neither of whom have his upside, fair?

Dude you don't get it. When you have a chance to acquire massive talent for one player, you do it. It doesn't matter how much potential a kid has if he's being traded for 4 young players with potential and a damn lottery pick, if anything Magic are getting robbed.

Don't see one that makes any sense.

Mo Harkless and Tobias Harris are "massive talents". Oladipo is a ncie combo guard. Aaron Gordon is a positionless athlete. Not only that the Wolves are actually giving up Kevin Martin and Budinger in the deal as well.

The trade proposed isn't "fair" value for Wiggins.

For the record, Gordon has just as much upside as Wiggins does. It's just that he's much less of a player right now.

Man Wolves don't need Martin's crippling contract, winning play and taking LaVine and Shabazz' minutes. Budinger struggles to get his *** on the court let alone produce.

Wiggins upside has been described as guys like Kobe etc. When you hear Gordon's upside mentioned it's someone like Faried, MAYBE a rare upside possibility of Blake Griffin.

Giving Gordon that upside would you rather have the NBA career of Kobe Bryant or Blake Griffin? I'll give .000000000000001 seconds to consider that and answer.

A 19 year old with solid passing and ball handling skills who, if he bulks up, can be very effective 4? Has a resemblence of a stretch 4 . He could average 18-10-3-1.5-1.5. That's pretty good. Wiggins is also most likely another Paul George/Jimmy Butler type of player. Players like Kobe come once every 10 years. It was him and TMac who did not last long enough, then James and KD. Lately Davis has the same type of potential. Wiggins? Yeah, he has the personality and the hype. He just has to prove it.
