I like Schroder more than Clarkson, because he is a better defender and has proven he can play in a good team. There are other young guys you can trade for, like Elfrid Payton, Tyler Ennis (not great, but he can pass and shoot) or Brandon Knight (expiring contract). My suggestion would be to look for one in the draft, though. There are some good PGs in this class: Mudiay is athletic and can pass, and D'Angelo Russell is a great scorer.

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
This is great, thank you both above for the suggestions on young PGs to trade for. Would trading D. Williams even been reasonable with his massive $20mil/yr contract? I would take either Clarkson or Schroeder but just want to be sure what I'm doing is fair... Realism would be nice but I am willing to sacrifice that to get a young PG as long as I'm compensating the other team fairly.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
What is your opinion on trading newly signed free agents that are tier 1 of their FA class?
I know it's not a lot realistic to trade a fresh signed FA (teams usually play them at least a season) or a package involving a fresh contract and prospects, but what if your team schemed and gathered assets (to the detriment of your team's cap space) to target one particular player with regional ties like NYK in the past with Melo ,or Boogie Cousins to WAS(maybe they do it in the future)?Comment

Lakers Give: Clarkson, Jordan HillComment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I have started a new MyLeague with the Bulls and do some trades so far
Bulls receive: Jeff Withey, Tony Douglas
Pelicans receive: Aaron Brooks, Cameron Bairstow
Bulls receive: PJ Tucker, Suns First 2015
Suns receive: Taj Gibson, Bulls First 2015
I'm also in possesion of the Kings First 2015, which will be pretty sure a lottery pick.
Do you guys think these trades are realistic?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Very realistic. If the the Suns pick in the second trade is a lottery pick the deal is fine but if it isn't, I think it is a little unfair, because the deal becomes essentially a Gibson/Tucker swap, and Gibson, in my opinion is a better player than Tucker. Also, I don't know why the Bulls would need a player like Tucker, they already have very good perimeter defenders in Butler, Dunleavy and Snell.
Do you have other ideas to get a lottery pick? I mean my Frontcourt is so far impressive with Noah/Pau/Nikola and Withey, I don't need Gibson.
What do you think of receiving Trey Burke and Utahs Firstrounder 2015 for Taj Gibson and some other assets? Any idea?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Okay thank you for your help, but all in all i would like to have a lottery pick and select maybe Cauley Stein or Justin Winslow, thats the only reason I swap Gibson/Tucker, cause i hope the suns dont make the playoffs.

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
That Utah trade looks good but you will have to give up many assets because that pick is likely to be high lottery and burke is a good young player. It would be great if you could make it work because Burke is great to come off the bench behind Rose or start alongside Butler when Rose is injured.
Maybe I look for another team, which is in possession of a solid backup point guard and a lottery pick and would love to have such a quality defender like Taj.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Playing as the Celtics what's a reasonable trade for Kenneth Faried? I would want to include Avery Bradley in the deal. I also have a ton of picks that I am open to trading. The only untouchables are Smart, Thomas and my draft picks from this past draft (noted in parentheses). Picks I have are

SF: Turner, Crowder, Barry Casano (Draft pick)
PF: Jerebko, Sullinger, Bassett (Draft pick)

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm looking for a package to get Wiggins from Minnesota(2016 offseason).
Can a package of Bradley Beal(newly signed) plus a lottery high upside prospect(probably SF/SG) be enough to get Wiggins plus Pekovic(or Martin) expiring or do i need to add a future first too?
Alternative package is Bradley Beal,Harrison Barnes ,a rookie (picked 5 to 10) for Wiggins ,Pek and Martin.
Is he as untouchable as Anthony Davis is for the Pelicans?
P.S.The above RFAs are not signed yet and i plan to sign them only as trade assets for a Wiggins deal.Last edited by nip83; 04-05-2015, 04:08 AM.Comment
