Hmmm, not sure about this but I did the trade.

Celtics receive: Roy Hibbert and Rodney Stuckey, 2016 1st round pick, 2017 1st round pick

Pacers receive: Rajon Rondo and Kelly Olynyk


How bad is this for the Pacers? I feel guilty getting two 1st round picks for this. Is this trade ok or is it borderline bad?

I think that Indiana is giving up a little too much. Maybe if one of the 1st round picks was a 2nd then it would be a little more balanced, but what do I know?

Just out of curiosity, where are you in your season and what is the Pacers record? Also are you playing with real injuries so PG-13 is out for the year?

Trying to get Boogie on the suns....

Before the draft the Suns were saying they wanted to trade their 3 1st round picks for a star caliber player. Say hypothetically that Cousins was still having issues off the court and the Kings weren't all that happy with him, would this trade be realistic?

Suns give: Bledsoe, Plumlee, 3 first rounders (14th, 18th and 27th overall, ends up being Ennis, Warren and Bogdanovic)

Kings give: Boogie, Reggie Evans

I just started the season. I did this trade before the first game. Currently the Pacers are 4-2 and no I'm playing MyGM and didn't think you could play with real injuries on like in MyLeague. PG13 is playing.

Can I start with real injuries on in MyGM? I'll start over if that's the case.

Have decided to roll with the Lakers. I figure we may not have the chance to run with Kobe for much longer, so I'll try get the man some final glory. I'm also a bit of a Swaggy P fan haha.

But I really don't like Boozer, I've always just had this random unjustified dislike for him. I'm also no good with him on the game either. Would ideally like somebody who is more of a physical, shot blocking type presence.

I'm also not too fond of Lin because with how I play, I like my PG to be able to splash the 3 more often. As it stands, I play Nash over him. Kobe is running the show most of the time anyway.

Anyone out there who would like either of these guys on their team? what would you be willing to put up?

Even though the best thing for the Lakers is probably to try to be building up the youth, Kobe isn't having any of that, so I do want guys who can contribute.

It works, just have to do it after Dec 14th, since Utah had to match Charlotte's UFA offer. I don't think it's too realistic though, Utah just committed to him, I don't see them trading him.

There are no early realistic trade scenarios for the Lakers. Really for most teams. Honestly, I would say play through at least mid December, give us an update on surprise teams. Like let's say Philly is doing better than expected. Well we know they are in tank mode and they have been linked to Lin, then you could build a realistic trade around that scenario. I think most players need to do that with their MyGM's or MyLeague's. We don't see very many early season trades.

I think this is more than fair. The Pacers get the best player in the deal, I like Rondo to bounce back from injury more than Hibbert to bounce back from 3 years of decline. Olynyk on his own is worth considerably more than two late first round picks on his own.

No, I don't think you can in MyGM.

On the surface I feel like the Boston got the better end of that deal. Honestly, the main thing I didn't like is how they traded both their next 1st Round picks (since that's a rule IRL). If you would have seprated those I would be more on board.

However, knowing that Hibbert is going to be owed about 15M next season if he takes is Player Option makes it a little better. And as long as Rondo resigns with Indiana I think it's an acceptable deal for both sides.

I'm definitely interested in seeing how things go for both sides, keep us updated.

I wish that 2k would adopt some of the more simple CBA Rules. Like you can trade back-to-back first and you can't flip a player who you just traded for... You have to wait two months (iirc).

Other than that (which most people may not know anyway), then the deal isn't too bad. Although, I don't know if NY would want to take on Wallace's contract, especially since Stat is expiring. I think that they would prefer to have the cap space to sign someone in the offseason rather than trading for a washed up player who will suck up 10M next year.

I think this is probably one of the most balanced trades in the thread. Detroit gets to move Josh Smith to PF full time and doesn't have to worry about Monroe leaving. GS gets the better player and opens more minutes for Dray Green at the 3. If you're using the latest roster Bynum is a Celtic though.

Didn't Will Bynum already get traded/released? Also idk if warriors would want to make big changes to their team like that, but it works from a value standpoint

Yes, he was traded to the Celtics but depending on the roster the poster is using he may still be on the Pistons.
