Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

    What about...

Celtics Receive: Roy Hibbert, George Hill

Pacers Receive: Rajon Rondo, Gerald Wallace, Kelly Olynyk

As much as I want Smart to be the starter, there doesn't seem to be a way for that to happen, especially if I want to get Monroe.

    UPDATE

    I put together this one...

Celtics Receive: Greg Monroe, Joel Anthony

Pistons Receive: Jeff Green, 1st Round Pick

    Followed by...

Celtics Receive: Amar'e Stoudemire, Iman Shumpert, 1st Round Pick

Knicks Receive: Rajon Rondo, Gerald Wallace, Joel Anthony

1st trade seems legit, Hill can back up Smart who is a beast when you drive with him in the lane.

Honestly those look pretty good. The only thing I'm not sure of is if Phil Jackson would take on the Gerald Wallace contract. He says he is making more financially sound decisions.

I love the KG to Minny idea.

JJ to Sac for McLemore and whoever is needed to match contracts isn't bad either.

That deal is already bad for LA, then to give up Randle too? He should've tried Brooklyn's 2016 plan which is for KD. Also, the Lakers wouldn't love to take on two injury prone "former" All-Stars with ugly contracts, especially D-Will.

I was looking at a way to get either Lopez or Plumlee on the C's.

What would that take. Just another idea I have instead of Monroe, Hibbert and so forth.

Does anyone have any thoughts on trading for Vince Carter?

I'm with the Knicks and apparently I can package Travis Outlaw and Quincy Acy for Earl Clark and Vince Carter.

Acy is a restricted FA but I've got no intention of keeping him post the season, and Outlaw is an expiring $3M contract. The trade will add approximately $1M to my payroll and reduce the Grizz by $1M.

The critical part is that Vince is signed for 2 years with a team option 3rd. Chances are I wouldn't pick up his 3rd year option at age 39, but its the second year at just over $4M that has me worried.

As the Knicks its looking like I can free up enough for a max contract in 2015, but with Vince it could be tough. I've already traded JR Smith away so I've only got Shump and Hardaway playing the wings.

Vince obviously gives better ratings and performance but also pushes Cleanthony Early down the depth chart, which is another consideration since I want to start developing him.

So yeah, any help? Do you think I should trade for Vince Carter?

Using the Bucks and I'm trying to offload OJ Mayo aswell as a PG. We have 3, technically 5.

Kendall Marshall - best passer, he starts at 1

Brandon Knight - starting at 2

Giannis - Starting SF, but he gets some PG minutes in some situations

Jerry's Bayless And Nate Wolters who at essentially the same player across the board, one has too go.

I'm basically just trying to get younger and take on expiring contracts, picks. Not exactly sure where I should go for a trade.

I've been working on a trade for Jeremy Lamb and Kendrick Perkins contract, but I'm not quite sure what prices to offer up or request.

Seeing that Memphis just signed him, I doubt they are trading him, plus FA IRL cannot be traded before dec 14th.

DEN Receive: Marcus Thornton, Victor Faverani, Joel Anthony

I am playing with Nets and trying to make a serious team out of them. It's not that they are bad right know but i think they have a potential to become a nice playoff team. I traded Kirilenko and Plumlee for Harrison Barnes and Ezeli.

What do you think about that trade. My opinion is that Barnes has a lot of potential and with many minutes he'll get at the 3 he'll have a chance too show his full talent which he didn't have a chance to do at the Warriors since they have Iggy and Green at the same spot. Ezeli is a nice backup center and i think that this lineup. Williams Johnson Barnes Garnett Lopez can really be productive half court team and successful one if there won't be many injuries.

Plumlee is the truth in this game, I like that trade, except the Warriors have a to find minutes for Plumlee, Lee and Bogut.

Plumlee is a center while Lee is a power forward and Bogut is injured so often, atleast in rl, that he is expected to have many minutes on the floor. Y, i really think that both teams got better. I am pretty much satisfied with what my team looks on the paper right know, i need to see how will they actually play but i am optimistic.

Ok, well after some time with the NBA Trade Machine, I've come up with a few deals that could work for everyone...

                              Celtics Receive:
Greg Monroe, Brandon Jennings, 2nd Round Pick

                              Pistons Receive: Rajon Rondo

                              #2
                              Celtics Receive:
                              Amar'e Stoudemire, Iman Shumpert

Knicks Receive: Gerald Wallace, Brandon Bass, Brandon Jennings

                              #3
                              Celtics Receive:
                              Jason Richardson, 1st Round Pick

76ers Receive: Jeff Green, Iman Shumpert

I find a way to unload the big multi-year contracts of Wallace and Green, while getting my future center, while also getting rid of Rondo (not a big fan) and Bass. I think the Knicks would be better off with Jennings as he can shoot and pass. This also allows the Pistons to move Josh Smith back to his natural PF position while also pairing him with his little buddy (not that it matters in the game). Rather than keeping Shumpert, I flip him to Philly for Richardson (a longtime favorite of mine) and a 1st round pick (probably 2016) because I feel they could and would resign him. I also save $3.6M.

                              What do you guys think?

Most of it looks good, I just don't see Philly giving a first rounder (a top 3 pick most likely) for anything short of a superstar. Their whole rebuilding plan has been all about high draft picks so don't think they'd give that up.

I think you'd be better off shopping Green to a borderline contender in need of a little extra help.

A few teams that would be interesting off the top of my head are Washington, Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, maybe the Clippers.

Shumpert is pretty easy to shop anywhere if you don't want him. Personally I'd hold on to him for use as a 6th/7th man, when you get back to being a contender.
