So you are saying if you are not in control of the defender you are getting dunked on? Can you do this on in game Superstar Sim purposely cheese the game and it will let you finish. The two things to stop this would be take the charge or stay in the paint.

Meh... I'll judge when I get my copy . Online is superstar sim. All the guys playing on superstar sim didn't dunk like that at all.Last edited by Rockie_Fresh88; 10-04-2014, 11:38 PM.#1 Laker fan

Ok man I think I know what you are talking about. The first defender will eventually "lose" the on ball matchup and Lavine or whoever slides past the defender is what you are saying?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Gameplay...a bit worrisome
Yeah the guy's commentary is definitely obnoxious. But I'm more concerned with the crazy animations and ease that he gets to the rim against the CPU. Granted, I have no idea what difficulty he is on, and if he's on rookie then this is a moot point. But considering 2K's history with this kind of cheese, it's concerning for online players. I don't want to have to deal with people running around the three point line waiting for a hole then dashing to the rim and slamming with a low 70s rated player.Comment

GOD I hate watching STG play. I actually had to unsubscribe from dude because of how terrible he is in 2k and all the raging he does on his facecams. IDK how he even made it to being one of 2k15's promoters with that being said.
Wouldn't take that video, or him, too seriouslyComment

something like that. its really a matter of the aggression or speed at which the ball handler is approaching at not getting accommodated by the defender. Its a situation where they should backpeddle or use the fast shuffle, but dont.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Gameplay...a bit worrisome
It's a ratings thing, players w/ high dunk ratings get these kind of animations and 2K insists on buffing guards' dunk ratings to the point where they can do stupid things.
LaVine is a great athlete but he played SG rather than PG in college for a reason. He is also young. The fact that he plays like prime Derrick Rose is indicative that 2K still has a ways to go w/ righting the ship (though casuals who pay the bills certainly prefer the ease of dunking).
We have these posts every year. Some cheeser posts a video probably playing on Pro and simheads start biting their nails. Is it ratings? Is it logic? Is it mechanics? These are early vids. I'm sure there will be a Day 1 patch. Why not wait to see where the dust settles before starting mass hysteria.Last edited by Boilerbuzz; 10-05-2014, 03:35 AM.Comment
