Go to the 54 min mark and listen carefully. I think Rob new the glitches for last years online leagues were still not addressed. When the subject of OA came up he mentioned he didn't have the details if front of him. But during the interview he went into great detail about all the modes and gameplay.

At the 54 min mark Rich asked him if the CPU would control the rest of non human controlled teams to make the 30. Rob only gave a one word answer "correct".

I am going to make it my personal goal to keep this thread on page 1 until 2016 drops! I will make sure this topic does not go away and is seen by every dev who pops onto these forums!

We are the most loyal and passionate 2k gamers. I've been playing basketball games since dr j and Larry bird, double dribble, early lives is 90's, and every 2k since dream cast (until last year). Guys in our league are guys who are on this site helping community who I respect. The games we play against each other should be on 2ks website to show how the game should be played and how it's supposed to be played. That would be some marketing. But now a days it's all nba jam and zach lavine ( I coached against him in hs) has crazy dunks and hops! Everyone wants that whoaaaa moment and then capture it on video and post on kids instagrams and you tube.

All makes me realize number 1 I'm too old and number 2 times have changed and we are the minority. It's sad! This is 1 game I play really. Otherwise my xbox just collects dust. So again I go back to hoping for next year and praying we get a patch that might fix a few of our complaints but know deep down it's just wishful thinking and I'm setting myself up for more disappointment.

Im holding off getting it until this is answered for sure by someone who has actually tried this today after the update. If someone in here has tried thiy then sorry for this post. All I can find is the OP and a bunch of heresay about it.
human controlled teams are needed to start a lg be it a lg of 2 or 30 users. Once the lg is full, users can leave the lg, which renders the previously human controlled team as a vacant team until an invite is sent to occupy the vacant team. People are confusing the vacated team as cpu teams. When we refer to cpu teams, we are referencing the cpu teams found in the last gen OAs that you could play and trade with if you chose to.

When I found out of the dryness of next-gen 'leagues', I kept the idea of a 360 league in my backpocket. Now, we find out that it has been totally removed?

          Ridiculous!

so just so there is no confusion on my part. You are 100% sure that there is no way to create an online league and have CPU controlled teams in the league with say 6 human players and the rest of the league containing AI computer controlled teams so that you can play against the computer controlled teams and against human players.

            Thanks,
I actually emailed 2k earlier and they said CPU teams in online leagues is not a feature and isn't planned to be a feature in the near future but users online were saying other wise. From past experience 2k support isn't really the most reliable source of info though.

Come on bro don't generalize and try and separate the community like that, especially here on these forums.

I for one love sim basketball, and online leagues were my favorite mode along with my career...and I hate that they screwed us over but not everyone that plays career and in the park or crew is a kid.

It's just that that's what caught on and it's hot now..but if enough of us are unhappy with this mode right now they can always patch it or fix it for next year. It sucks, but no need to take it out on the rest of the community.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Yes 100% sure. Rob Jones mispoke in the press row podcast about cpu teams. Ld2k confirmed as well and apologized in this thread for that misinformation.

I've tweeted Ronnie2K and LD2K in regards to last gen OAs with no response. That was about two hours ago or so.

If they could fix the games registering, this mode could work. However, I am sure it's very low on their priority list considering the issues with VC, facescan, preorder bonus stuff.

Until then this mode is literally unplayable.

Obviously not all are kids but I'd bet the demographic for those modes are extremely high in the 12-19 range over any other age bracket. Just my opinion but having a couple hundred kids in my program and listening to them, seeing their instagrams, etc I have a good idea what's going on. Plus it's everywhere on you tube. I don't see many guys my age posting 2k videos on you tube. Lol! Just sayin...

And no ones taking it out on the rest of the community. I'm simply voicing my opinion and displeasure in the thread of the area I care about most. I've been around for a long time and have done the whole wait til next year thing. The difference between me and you is you play other modes. I don't. I don't care for my player, my team, etc. I will however dive into offline my league this year though. But the thing is I'm happy for all the other guys who like shoes, accessories, my team, my gm, my league, and my team! They all got upgrades and I'm not hating on them. We just didn't get any of that love.

The bottom line is 2k needs to know that there is a hardcore audience who want and love this mode even if we are the minority. We just want a few things added and maybe we were not loud enough before. Maybe we need to be louder and try and get their attention. All any of us want is progress year to year. I see where czars vision is for this game and I appreciate his honesty and transparency about the now and the future. I have no idea where the vision is for this mode though and what the future holds.

At work don't have time to read this whole thread. But, basically me and my 3 or 4 friends can't start an online league and pick our teams and have the CPU manage the other teams? So it's like last year where you can only play against other user controlled teams?
