This! Yup.. The tweet in which LD2k says that cpu controlled teams are in online leagues seems to have been removed

I agree with Coach in that any level other than hof sim is gonna water down the gameplay and make the game unrealistic (to easy offensively) when you get to good user vs good user.

Knowing Vann all he uses sliders for is making the game as close to real life as possible. Which is how they should be used.

The key to sliders is to cure gameplay problems that hurt realism and make the game unrealistic. Not to put the gun in the rabbit's hands.

I always believe that you start on hof sim and then look at what the top 5 or 6 players are doing when they play each other. If all the elite guys games are realistic you touch nothing, however if the elite guys are having unrealistic games then a change is necessary.

Imo. The key to sliders is watching the problems and exploits of the best players, because they have the best understanding of the game itself (not necessarily basketball). Changing sliders for the bottom half of the league is like creating gun laws for guys with no hands.

I don't know if there is any possibility to add some of the missing things via patch.
I guess some stuff like sliders or a fantasy draft can be difficult to implement, but what about kicking users or inviting new ones (once the league started)? what about the ability to set rotations and strategy before the games?...

I mean, perhaps we should compile all our gripes and go back to the devs just in case?

You know, I'm just trying to be positive, we could have a nice surprise after all, or do you think there is no way they will add some of the missing stuff to 2k15?

                  Cheers!

We will have all this for 2k16. They'll just take away custom rosters and it will be 5 min quarters. This is 2k learning from their mistakes.

                            2K15 OnlineLeague ‏@2kOnlineLeague
@disconimahoni custom sliders will be on the 360. Next gen leagues won't have them

I read about all the work and passion that seems to have gone into NBA2k15, all the solid modes, especially MyLeague, directly catering to arguably the most stalwart gamer, the "offline" one and I feel justifiable optimism for the near future, along with patience.

OK, sure it would have been great to have an online Association in NBA2k15 but I'm surprised more people aren't comparing this situation to NBA2k11. It seems to me the groundwork is being laid in NBA2k15 so for NBA2k16 they can add MyLeague online, like they did with Association.

It's one thing when a gaming studio repeatedly offers a majority incomplete game with promises and implied intentions to build on it year over year, it's another thing entirely when offered an otherwise complete, fleshed out game, with one watered down placeholder mode until they can focus on it.

I realize we are living in "I want it all now" times but damn.

You know, this echoes my point in the halftime show thread! I didn't think about it that way. That NyLeague online would blow away any online franchise mode. Makes sense now. But it still sucks enough. Could we patch kicking users at least and CPU teams?

Isn't it always about resources and time? I won't sit here and judge with the little info I have, but it's surprising that they didn't pay someone to implement the OL good enough to be usable.
