What I can't believe is that people actually like playing the CPU online. That makes no sense to me. I remember a old feature that was only for one year. And it was awesome!!!!! I could play my offline franchise game online vs my friends. Anyone remember that?
I personally like having the ability to play against the computer as a way to pad the schedule, get accustomed to my team and what they are strong weak at. As well as a warmup to playing human opponents. Plus since the other players in the league are playing against the same opponents can compare how we all do against the computer.

In 2K11, in our league we had what we called "scrimmage games", if you remember in 2K11 in the online league menu there was an option to play against someone where your team record wouldnt have counted, that was where I did most of my practicing at, against real players.

And I need to seriously see a therapist, last night I had a dream that not only was online leagues working, but that the website that coincided with the league was back with a new layout and working seamlessly with live score updates. SMH.

Yea I under understand what your saying. I just think when I go "online". I'm expecting to play someone. If I wanted to play the CPU (which in my opinion can be boring). When I see my league members having to play the CPU for our championship. There is a huge problem!

That's like playing fantasy football with a CPU. That would be the worst thing!!

I agree with your point on potentially playing the CPU for a championship or playing the CPU in any fashion. This is even with the AI being highly polished on super star sim and tolerable for me for the first time ever in my 2k career. Playing the cpu would be a non-starter for most OLs especially since the hardcore prefer HOF sim settings, where the AI is straight cheddar ( this was even acknowledged by Czar that the game was tuned for Super Star Sim). However, CPU teams should be allowed for those that are not fortunate enough to have 30 dedicated members in their league. Having them included does not affect those who can simply ignore the CPU teams or sim them out. Now, not having the ability to invite members to replace CPU teams is the crux of the matter that should have everyone up in arms.

We have 6 or so of us that play all the sports games together. Some of us work swing shift some go to school and some work first shift jobs. We all want to play every night and we want to complete in a league together. There is no way for us to do that without CPU teams. As for playing against the CPU The championship and playoffs its fine with me. If the other humans can't make the finals then so be it. No CPU teams is a deal breaker for me. I won't be getting it. With all the other bugs going on and as bad as the online has been in the past I doubt I will buy it. I'm still waiting on my free copy of evolve from 2k because of how bad last years online was with NBA 2k. I emailed them and when the online leagues were still unplayable months after release they gave me a coupon for a free 2k game. I thought about using it for this but it just seems 2k may have finally ruined video game basketball. I hate to say it but it's just going in the wrong direction for me. Hopefully live picks up with the online Sim aspect where 2k abandoned it.

It looks like 2K decided that if VC won't be bought for the game mode than they are no longer going to support it or at least not put much effort into supporting it.

There was an issue pre-release when I was testing, where I would get a spam bot message telling me to "please wait" while trying to access a lg that I had logged out of. However, that has not happened again post release. Unless this is an issue that just cropped up today, it is something new and worth investigating. Will test it out when I get home from work. I'm also on XB1 as well. In the mean time, try having your friends uninstall and reinstall the game. I was experiencing some wierd offline lag in practice and scrimmage mode when I first got the game. No one else was experiencing those issues, so I re-installed and its been fine ever since.

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

I think I have a workaround for the inability to invite new people once any GM hast to leave the league.

My proposed solution consists in taking advantage of the "next-gen" profiles/accounts features. I guess in PS4 will be similar, but in my case (Xbox One) you can create several accounts in your console, and these accounts will share the Live Gold and the Games you own with your main account (I don’t know whether in the PS4 it is the same).

So the trick is, instead of using our typical accounts (gamertags) when entering the leagues, 30 new accounts will be created (or one for each team in the league). For instance, if your league name is “MyNBA”, each user can create a new account (on his console) to enter the league with that profile, so in the end you will have the league filled with the users "MyNBA_Bulls", "MyNBA_Lakers", "MyNBA_Pistons"…. and so on. Therefore every user/team will have to play in the league with that account.

Later, if a user can not continue managing his team (for whatever reason). He could give the credentials of his (league) account to a new user/friend, so all (the new GM) just has to do is creating that "MyNBA_Team" profile in his console and he will be able to go on…

What do you think guys? IMO this should work if you play with known and grown people (it would not work for randoms as they could leave the league using the profile after all)…

                  Cheers! ;-)

Thanks a lot. Any info on this is appreciated. We're trying to start the league, but still we have a handful of Xbox freezing when selecting teams. I tried creating a new league and same thing is happening, no matter what league it is.

My god Guardian...this is brilliant! Like you said, it would require a league filled with mature, trustworthy people who have played in leagues together for years (which my league Simsational or SSBA qualifies as). This is why we have this thread fellas. This community has the ingenuity and dedication to make this mode work INSPITE of 2k. Nonetheless, it also exists to let the powers that be know that these work arounds are no substitute for a fully functioning OL or OA that we have enjoyed in past iterations. Cheers Guardian for this helpful suggestion!

Sounds like it would make sense if the commissioner creates all accounts for the league on their Xbox live account if possible. Then send out all the information to all league invites on how to log in to their individual account. User names/passwords. Only thing I am not sure if all other accounts can see the "main account" information. Then if someone leaves the commissioner can give out new information for someone to fill in. That way you keep 30 teams.

                        EDIT*

On Xbox ONE, there only needs to be 1 xbox profile on there that has Xbox Live Gold. Up to 9 other profiles on that console can be added and use the Gold beneifts that the Home profile uses with no limitations unless of course you want to set limitations for kids and things of that nature.
According to this response not sure if it will work though not sure if this is considered a gold benefit or not.

                        Or maybe this would work

The person you want to add does not have an Xbox Live profile

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

IMO the workaround should work, its not perfect but it is better than nothing.
The Commisioner doesn't have to create all the accounts in his console, it makes no point as once other user (not the admin) has the credentials (needed to open that profile in your system), he could change them and be, let's say, the owner of that profile from that moment on...

Of course the admin should establish the rules for the profiles (name/pwds, email account, etc.) as he has to control it somehow, but in the end it will be each user (who wants to enter/play in the league) who will create (or add if it is an existing one) a new account just to be able to play in your league.

In the end, every user will just need one secondary account (apart from those he usually uses) to play in the league. I am pretty sure this works fine in Xbox One, I don't know about the PS4 because I don't know (yet) the in and outs of that system, but hopefully it will be more or less the same...

                                Cheers! ;-)
