I think they would be better off just getting rid of the mode until they can implement a good online franchise mode.

The last two seasons have been major disappointments.

They cannot do that, that would leave us completely abandoned (and by us I mean people with leagues over 6 years old).

Now lets hope they give us the basic admin features that are missing either through a patch or an acknowledgment for possible incorporation in next years title.

So, we are able to sim and reset games! great. Can we give a win or a losse with the simulation option? when you reset a game do the overall stats also get reset? thx for the info given man

Hi! The reset option even works with a PO's series finished. The simulation is random, but the good thing is always in the tests I've done You can go back.

Yesterday we did a test in a league of 4 teams in superstar-simulation, the speed of the game was incredible, almost as offline! Only add missing options that we have been talking for the game to be the best basketball game we've had our hands! A shame not to set sliders, but the statistics are, are very real to dominate areas pivots for 1st time for a long time with the default settings!

Indeed in my 2 associations results have not been deleted .. so far!

          Cheers!

Morning fellas,I have some devastating news that could be a game changer for many you online league heads, depending on the quality of your members. I can verify that you cannot invite a member to join the league after someone voluntarily leaves the league. That's right fellas, you cannot send an invite to ANYONE to join the league when trying to fill a vacated team. Essentially, the invite feature only works when creating a league from its inception. After the league has been created, you better hope your members are loyal and never leave, as there is no recourse to fill open teams after the fact. All you can do is sim out the vacated teams' remaining games since they cannot be replaced. This is a huge oversight by 2k, and clearly was not spotted during their "world class" QA testing. It is now more crucial then over to vet members who you let into your league and know that they will stick with the league through thick and thin, and wins and losses. Add this missing feature to our list of "must haves" in order for us to get the most out of this mode; which has clearly been relegated to red-headed step child status in Novato.

With the situation as it is, in our league we are concluding that the best option is to create a league for EVERY game of our private league.

That means over 500 leagues in the game that we will have to create.

Cool, uh? I wonder how the 2k servers will take it.

Great news. No doubt that there are many things that could be added to this mode.

In our case right now, it would be vital the ability to rebuild rotation (choose your 12 players out of your 15) and sign FAs, once the season has started.

A freestyle mode into the OA to practice your releases, would be nice as well, though this is not as important as the above at all.

That definitely sucks, but I guess the work around is to sim the owner games if/when you decide that owner shouldn't be in the league. Basically it will be a lost team for the remaining season. Then when we do the next season we can replace him. This is not ideal but I think it could work. I have 30+ guys I've known for years so this shouldn't be that much of an issue. However, it drastically kills off any smaller leagues or leagues with random guys.

I appreciate your work on this. It was great to actually see the mode before the game came out. Hopefully the mode is stable enough with the servers. I am going to start full testing this mode and hopefully the sim stats match the game lol

relax guys. it's 2002. we are not living in times we can expect a flawless online mode, with the ability to invite users at will, lag free servers and a website with stats. ability to manage rosters, trades and games externally.

oh wait .... 2k11. last gen

Really appreciate all the effort you putting into this Ame! The fact that you cannot invite a member after someone leaves the league is bad news and another oversight by 2k! Hopefully devs are following this thread and that 2k can fix these problems..

I'm sitting here wondering if 2k would sell me the servers for 2k11. So I could set it up in my bed for all my league mates can play. You think that's crazy?

What I can't believe is that people actually like playing the CPU online. That makes no sense to me. I remember a old feature that was only for one year. And it was awesome!!!!! I could play my offline franchise game online vs my friends. Anyone remember that?

That is disappointing but at least it does reset games, and gives you the ability to sim. This is obviously not what we were all hoping for but last year I couldn't even play some of my friends and this year it did allow me to get in a league, start it, and play a game with zero lag Hopefully this is a good sign.

Basically that would alllow us to:

                              - Play with custom rosters, custom playbooks and custom rotation (as you can edit that in the roster you use at the league creation)
                              - Not be affected by injuries generated in the game (and that would alter the rotation leaving you without the ability to adjust to the injury)

That it's not possible if we create a league and we maintain it for a while. One league for every game would allow it.

Very interesting. That will be a labor of love and a massive undertaking but this shows the level of dedication for those that play this mode. If 2k just gave us the basics, this community would would go back into our little corners and just hoop. Instead we are forced to do ridiculous things like creating 500 individual leagues to account for incredible oversights that anyone worth their salt in QA would catch. I would hate to attest this to willful ignorance, but any reasonable person would reach that very conclusion.
