Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
You never played 2k11? When a player dropped or was booted, that team just had no user, and you had to wait for someone to fill the team before you could play against that team or trade or do anything. it would just be left as an "open" team.
Seems like you really had no involvement in any real online leagues before.Comment

Two things.
1. I was told CPU controlled teams were in (as Rob previously mentioned on the podcast). For that, I apologize.
2. I promise I'm taking the feedback to the dev. team. I think we all want to see Online Leagues get to a point where people want it.Last edited by LD2k; 10-06-2014, 11:09 AM.Comment

Thanks LD2K. You have no idea how calming those two simple things you just said in your post is for this community. Just to know that the devs will be informed and that concerns are being relayed are enough for me, as the gameplay, graphics, mechanics are unrivaled in this series. Getting online leagues on par with the other ********* modes will make this long time customer a happy camper. Cheers for stopping by and acknowledging us.[OS Vets NBA 2K10 Champion]

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
I see this get posted from time to time and I feel it is misleading in the sense that there are not any Dev's who work on those two things to my knowledge who post regularly on OS. There never have been AFAIK.
I know your pissed and want answers but If I/we who post here don't have any / didn't make any decisions regarding this mode, it's not productive to come in here and post. IMHO YMMV etc.
Hopefully this can get in the right hands.Basketball Playbooks

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
It really does feel like the online league community was pushed aside again. Personally I've put in many hours trying to get the voices heard. I've spent tweets, forums posts, 2K chats to try and get answers. Last year I asked Ronnie2K about the issues with online leagues and was told "we are very much apart of the future". This is a lie after seeing the limitations surrounding this mode in person.
The only info we got in the coming weeks was a couple of tweets from ld2K about the online leagues. No blog, no bringing in a team member who is actually playing in online leagues. I've offered my website as a chance for the 2K marketing team to actually address the situation. All requests were ignored and probably laughed at behind closed doors.
Will online leagues work? Maybe... Will it take a lot of user trust and work ....absolutely!! In 2015 it shouldn't take this much commish effort to run a well ran league. These problems are mostly with a small test league. I expect several big issues to arise once a league full of users starts playing games.
In short I really wanted to stop spending my time on this mode trying to get it right but yet here I am again asking the same questions and getting the same answers. "Gathering feedback for devs". An abililty to boot/replace is crucial in any league and really shows how little time was placed on this mode all year.
In the end,I gave 2K14 a pass since I understand they were trying to push a brand new next gen product out there. It's 2K15 and still the same issues. Now we get to see all the RT's from mypark and myleague players how they love the game.I rep USDA

Thanks for acknowledging but why do leagues regress every year? How can we not BOOT someone? That makes a league basically unplayable from the start.Comment

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
No cpu teams are allowed. If you create a 2 person league with a 82 game schedule, you and your friend are scheduled to play 82 home and away games against each other and only each other...lol. Rob Jones clearly misspoke during the press row podcast when he said CPU teams would be allowed in OL this year. He was also misleading when he said that robust customization were in leagues this year. Now lets just hope his assertion that two of their best engineers being charged with improving online stability will hold up during release week as we get ready for our online league pre season.Basketball Playbooks

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The hard truth is that you guys tell us you're feeding the development team with our feedback but the leagues get worse every year!
We started off with one and done leagues with a GREAT operating website. Then you guys took away that awesome website for no reason and gave us that broken 2k website which no one used. Then you added offseason in 2k12 except everyone's salaries turned to $0 and playoffs would randomly lock and freeze and be unplayable. 2k13 is the same thing, same contract problems, and when you got to the free agency the game would just fast forward simulate the entire thing lolol. 2k14 went back to 2k11 due to next gen which I understand. And now next gen 2k15 we have NOTHiNG?! I don't get it and we never get answers. We've been tweeting, emailing, facebooking, everything to you guys for years and your false promises are really wearing thin on this community. If nba live has a working online association mode I am OUT. I can see it from miles away that next years promotion will be that myleague is now online compatible. And then it have glitches, contracts will break, and will be unplayable after season 1. Then 2k17 will be the promise where you guys say it is all fixed. Too predictable and the hard truth.Comment

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Wow! That's bad! So if we lose a guy (assuming he go's willingly) that team does nothing til we refill them? Can we sim game at least and give them a win or loss until we find a replacement? And can we get those 2 best engineers who we're working on online stability put on the 2k16 online league team stat? Lol
