As for WHY it wasn't played as much, I would argue that it was a chicken/egg thing. I'm an ex-user that stopped playing it for reasons I already mentioned and it doesn't absolve VC at all. Many of these features, I'm SURE, would have kept those leagues alive. I'm actually one of those people you're talking about. The omission of these features is keeping me away.

All I can do is express those reasons here with the rest of the guys, respectfully, and hope that enough of us show that the mode needs some love.
Lol I'm calm maybe just coming off wrong! Haha

Um, that wasn't directed at you. The first sentence was an answer to what you said, everything I said after that was me venting, had nothing to do with you, at all...............

Why go there, man? So, they have higher priority features they decide to work on. How does that mean we're being ignored? Or that we got suckered? They've marketed 2 major franchise modes this year. Said next to ZERO about online leagues. Where were we mislead here? The signal to noise ratio of OL versus MyLeague/MyGM was SO low, no one should be surprised it's bare bones. But to imply there was some proactive deception is a bit much isn't it. That's what that statement *seemed* to do. I know it may not have been your intent.

Again, I'm trying to keep this civil and mature so that the thread doesn't become as toxic as it has every right to be. I want to see a MyLeague level effort on this for next year. Let's just PLEASE post to that end. I'm begging.

I KNOW how you feel man. I'm there with you.

Didn't Rob confirm on The Pressrow Podcast that we would be able to have CPU controlled teams in online leagues?

I don't know how I would title this list, but here is my "why the hell isn't this in there"/"I won't play this mode until this is added" list:

            1. Commissioner. At LEAST let me approve/veto trades and signings.
            2. Franchise! Not league. I don't want to just play one friggin' season.
            3. Uneven trades, >2 team trading, draft pick trading.
            4. Salary cap options please!
            5. Booting *******s and people that don't play their games.
            6. CPU teams. A MUST for after I boot the *******.
            7. A real free agency where we bid and counter bid on FAs.

Other features I think would be cool:
            8. Multiple "win" conditions. I may not win more titles, but the REAL war is profits and popularity (which also goes into profits. )
            9. Allow multiple users to play on your team.
            10. Adding MyCareer players in the FA pool!
            11. Attach your MyC player to your OA team. Or the other way around - you control the team that has your MyC player on it.

Do this and I am ALL IN.

I do not recall. If so, he was mistaken apparently.

Because there was a thread about it and ld2k tweeted info and gave some info to Steve about online leagues. In that same thread Steve said he reached out for answers on a few of our questions but never got a response. This was to Steve not me lol. Then leftmost chimed in to make sure he straightened everyone out about something where someone misspoke about a mode. The devs are here, they are here every day. They see everything just don't log in until they see something they feel the need to respond too. And we got nothing. Are you telling me no one saw the thread and didn't get Steve's questions? It was purely coincidental that we got nothing?

Listen, I'm a straight shooter. I'm always upfront and honest with you whether you like it or not. I have found that to take me a lot of places in life and people view you with high integrity and as a honest person. They respect that. All I'm saying is giving answers and not avoiding them (like czar did in his play book thread) I respect and no blind sides. Just tell me the way it is so I can make decision knowing all the facts. It's like if I'm a juror and don't get the whole story but need to make a decision and give a verdict. I could go on and on... Lol

Bottom line is czars transparency was so refreshing letting us know that the system is better but there is a long ways to go and he worked 80 hour weeks. Man what more can you ask for. I'm just happy he got to what he did and can wait knowing each year it will be improved upon.

With online leagues we digress and there is no plan, no moving forward, no transparency, no dev interaction, nothing. It rubs some of us the wrong way...

^^^ EXACTLY. They give off a false sense of transparency but are anything but. Look, it's been 4 years and generally the same core group of guys are still working there, so to me there should be no excuse as to why we aren't getting answers/info. This is not a knock to the game at all, even though the past few years personally I havent been in love with it, from what I hear and see 2K15 is great in every aspect, except for the only aspect in which I personally am most passionate about (Online League)

Boilerbuzz, if there is 0 marketing about a feature, then its implied its exaclty the same as it was the year before. In this case, they are in fact removing features from year to year which would never fly in any other industry. ....even if its next gen or a completely revamped system, its implied that all features from the last version are there. The first ever retail hybrid car made didn't leave out air conditioning or cruise control just because it has a new engine. Its at a point in that when they do put work into online leagues, all the "all new features" are going to be things we had before. Could you imagine if the 3rd generation Prius they market it with having FM radio as an "all new feature?"

Alright fellas, a bit of good news in the midst of the onslaught of bad news in re online leagues. I can confirm that the custom roster feature works as advertised. I edited the philly roster and upgraded MCW and Embid in ratings as a test; saved and shared roster online; then successfully used that roster to create a test league. The great part is that I removed plays from the roster to see if the customized playbooks would transfer into the league. Hoping for the best and expecting the worse, IT WORKED!

With this confirmation, the burden though heavy, will strictly rest on the communities ingenuity, dedication, and perseverance to manually work around the various ommissions that we have been railing against; fantasy rosters, FA allocation, manual Online Associations, playbook customization, etc.

Its almost as if 2k told the community, "if you want it bad enough," we have given you the bare minimum tools to get it done. Maybe this is what they meant by #ourtimehascome. Shaking my head but all is not lost fellas.
